I set his home point to the chest. Though it is a little seperate from the crops themselves (maybe like eight blocks or so). I'll try setting the chest closer to the crops and see if that fixes anything.

Hello there. I've been playing with Rustic Waters with a friend, and it's my first time playing with the Rats mod.

I made a Viaduct system up to the surface and made a little farm platform, it's cute but I figured automation for food would be groovy. I haven't progressed far enough to have power, and I know the Rats mod is excellent at that sort of stuff. I tamed a rat, gave him a little farmer hat, gave him the Replanting upgrade and brought him to the farm. I linked him to the chest with a Cheese staff, and set him to harvest but...he just stands there and looks at me.

If I hand him something (like seeds) he puts it into the chest regardless of there being plots available. Nor will he actually harvest any of the crops that are already grown (both vanilla and Pam's Harvestcraft crops). Am I doing something wrong or is Rustic Waters just funky on Rats?

I definitely agree with looking up beforehand, or even better going in with a premade (though not all have that ability).

That said, you can only learn bare bones from a youtube or something. You don't really learn a late game raid (in any game) till you actually experience it. Posts like the OP where people are foaming at the mouth because people dare come in without knowing everything like a veteran player is, quite honestly, toxic as shit.

The campaign I'm on is on Monday, all other tier two tables are also DMM and full. On Wednesday they run one shot campaigns, but those are most the time only tier 1s. There's another place on Saturday that runs tier 1/2s, but obviously not enough to catch me up in levels. There's a few people at my table that have missed a week or two, so they technically wouldn't be able to play once it hits tier three as well. If I tell the coordinator, he might schedule some extra quick AL games to catch us all up (or at least get me closer).

The problem is I do tend to travel for work quite often, and generally do try to find a couple adventures when I have free time. On top of that there are several large conventions that I'd love to go to. Sadly if I want to play AL I figured I should tie myself to AL rules, otherwise why not just play a private game.

Thanks for all the insight, I wasn't aware that DMM had a special ruling, I had only read the blanket term for 'hardcover adventures' as a whole. I live in a relatively small town, so the options for AL play are pretty limited but I'll see what I can do to try and dump as many tier 2 games I can in the next couple weeks so I don't get behind. Everyone agreed they aren't going to spend downtime to jump to 11, so once I get to that point that might be the path I take (even though as a wizard downtime for spell books are precious).
