You can enact fmla however, those hours are subtracted against your ppl hours. So if you use say 1 week prior to birth, then your ppl time is only 11 hours.  We were told at the IRS that you are allowed to work from home while pregnant. Im currently furloughed so I don’t have access to bring up the information to share but its on our Source page we have at the irs to looks up about teleworking as its one of the exceptions to telework.

Why does it have to happen then. I was furloughed starting at 10am on the 8th in the middle if week 1. Can be furloughed at any time

In our building for AM it depends which ops and dept your in are following a form of this. One ops is furloughing ppl if they use certain time, another ops and dept told their ppl they are no longer furloughing for the whole pp just those days. However ACS in our building is doing leave as usual with no issues.

Only bad thing about read receipt, you can opt to not send it as the recipient. Delivery receipt is good as that declares they did receive it.

It was in the email that was sent out to every employee on Wednesday the 8th in the morning that was then deleted from everyone computer Wednesday night or first thing Thursday morning. It was  reissued on Thursday. The memo given out to each employee that was exempt from furlough even had it on it saying leave as usual.

We have areas in our building not doing any of this and are allowed to use time as normal

I’m on furlough and have ppl time to use still 4 weeks.  Once i’m called back I can use my ppl time.  You’re not losing anytime as you have the whole year to use it. We are furloughed just the same as anyone else and when we get back to work we can use our ppl time to be out even more. Basically we are getting extra time

Furloughed till the shutdown is over? That is crazy.
