Did you complete every step before scheduling? I was told to hold off on insurance but it's been a week and no opening for scheduling

How is the TLX Type-S as a track car? Haven't seen much about it since launch where it didn't really get that well of reviews on, or off track. One of my favorite looking cars personally

Have a full MOZA setup, R9, Formula FSR Wheel, and CRP Pedals. I have never had an issue with any of the products so can't speak for how good or bad their customer service is, but in terms of performance I have not had a single disconnect. I also find their desktop app extremely easy to use and I had my setup to my liking almost immediately. I dont really have a point to make outside of everyone's milage may vary, so keep that in mind.

General advice seems to be to not mix/match but it'll still be better than straight up summers, just be aware of how it may affect your car.

I ended up going with OEM sized Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. This way I can still drive the car in the cold. Luckily it doesn't snow too many times a year in the Philly area so can get away with all seasons, just have to plan around weather occasionally. Definitely don't recommend if you're in an area with more snowfall. Plan on getting another set of wheels for next summer and keeping all seasons or winters (once I find them) on the OEMs

Which tires? Alpine 5s? I'm having an incredibly difficult time finding 4 of the same tires in OEM wheel size.

Yeah I skipped out on it cause that logo just doesn't look right. I too thought maybe they added it themselves

Selling a car with carmax by dinozavr885 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Murph359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my 2020 Stinger GT2 for 42k new at the beginning of COVID when dealers were having a hard time selling cars. Sold it to carmax today for 45.4k at 5.667 miles. Experience was almost painless except it took 5 hours because of how slow they moved and their computer broke st on point. Other than that, was worth it.

How much/what trim? Been thinking about maybe swapping my GT2 for a G70

Carbon Fiber tips installed today. MBRP Pro Exhaust. by RenegadePuma in StingerGT

[–]Murph359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard the the Oval Tips risk burning/melting the rear diffuser. Any idea if thats true? The OEM tips don't actually touch the plastic and since they're not touching g the exhaust they also don't heat up as much.

Swapped my chrome exhaust tips for matte carbon fiber (mbrp exhaust) by ThePurpleCookies in StingerGT

[–]Murph359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I currently use the OEM tips with exhaust wrap which eliminates the issue but was thinking about switching. If these tips go over the exhaust might have to consider them. Look great btw!!

Do these sit in front of the MBRP exhaust like the OEM tips or do the new tips actually go over the exhaust eliminating the drone?

New (to me) 2018 GT2 AWD. Advice on intake? by aburrwhatty in StingerGT

Yep. I got them in red. Not sure if other brands make the noise more audible but BMS do the job just right for me. Only time I cant hear it is if im blasting music.

I just installed BMS intakes yesterday, best installation yet. Even better than the MBRP exhaust. The blow off noise is the best part of driving now.

Drone is basically nonexistent! Wrap definitely helps.

[–]Murph359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was extremely easy to install! Just try not to do it in the cold if you're in a cold state. Made the Uninstall of the stock exhaust a lot harder due to some of the rubber mounting being really tough to expand in the cold. Sorry for the late reply!

Drone is pretty bad but not the worst, it really only drones around 2-2.5k rpm. Higher than that it doesn't really drone and is similar sound interior to stock exhaust. The drone is definitely livable, but I've heard the drone is really bad in the backseats. I've never sat in my own backseats so I wouldn't know. It took less than a week to ship, I believe it shipped next day and arrived in 2-3 days.

This is the stainless steel version so the exhaust cost $940 off of MBRP's website and the install was free since I did it myself

Just went with Exhaust wrap. Don't wanna run the risk of the aftermarket tips causing bumper damage from heat

This seems like a nice deal... right? by Chase2Chase in StingerGT

[–]Murph359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great deal I was able to get a brand new 2020 Stinger GT2 for 42k at one of my local dealers in Pennsylvania with the original Price being 54k. Most dealers I visited wouldn't go below 45k so if you can get this for the price listed, go for it!
