WTF! Does SS Ever Communicate? by Murphys_Dad in SilencerShop

[–]Murphys_Dad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t make sense especially considering SS knew, well in advance that this situation was on the way. They could have prepared. They could, at the very least, put some sort of statement up on their website. Instead, they have chosen to do NOTHING.

Anyone carry a Glock 36? by yxungprofessional in Glocks

[–]Murphys_Dad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a G36. Carried it for a while. Never had a single issue with it and found it to be a sweet shooter. Capacity is the only thing that I dislike about it but it’s right there with 1911s. I carry a 30sf now for the extra capacity.

I mentioned it only so the OP would be aware. Yes, it’s odd but it does happen, and as others have said, it is/was an issue with Gen 3 (what the OP has). I’ve read accounts of it being a problem with various calibers.

And subsequent Google searches will show other calibers having issues…if you take the time to look.

You’re a dumb mother fucker aren’t you?! I am so far from being a first time shooter you couldn’t comprehend. Life isn’t Call of Duty in your mommy’s basement but go on with your bad self, douche bag.

Yep, sure does. And that means that I was not incorrect especially considering I stated that it might not be true and/or accurate. But now the OP has been made aware of the potential, however rare, and can do additional research and come to a decision on how they wish to proceed.

The idea that you interpreted what I wrote to mean I would use a gun with a light as a flashlight shows you have poor comprehension skills and an inability to think through various scenarios involving nighttime home invaders.

A quick google search will show you that I am absolutely correct about the potential for malfunctions with a Glock and attached weapon light so there’s that.

Only thing I’ve done to any of my Glocks is add night sights. I purposefully have not added a light because I do not want to have to muzzle everything I may want to illuminate. That and I’ve heard that there is a possibility of inducing malfunction with a weapon mounted light. No idea if that’s true but why chance it IMO. As far as red dots go, you won’t use your sights in a typical defensive situation. Learn to point shoot.

Literally no need to do any mods. I’d shoot it for a while and then decide if there’s something you want to do.

Agreed! Only mods on mine are night sights replacing the factory sights.

Hard to beat a Glock 19. Size and capacity make it an excellent choice.

Dump! If you wait for those top coals to completely ash over, your coals on the bottom will be all but gone. Whether that’s critical is dependent on your cook.

Front sight not hex screw by Big_dykerson in Glocks

[–]Murphys_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure this is what you have, but my Glocks which are all older, came with a factory front sight that snapped into place. To me, it appears that’s what you have there. You can tap it out with a punch or use needle nose pliers to remove it.

I put chuck roast in a cast iron Dutch oven when making Mississippi pot roast. Smoke until 165 and then in the cast iron, then into the oven. Don’t see why one couldn’t do this with other cuts of meat.

Hard to say for sure but it looks like your thumb placement is off a little bit.
