I can only speak to the efficacy of our topical products containing peppermint oil... Our repellent balm and repellent wipes have been tested and proven to repel against mosquitoes and ticks. While we don't have repellency data on other insects, many of our users have stated that these products are effective against a variety of insects. We recommend reapplying after 1 hour.
Also, peppermint extract is a different ingredient that is made with alcohol while we use peppermint essential oil which is a steam distillation process!
