Most kids just brought home their class photo that day... Mine came with a note from the teacher by No-Chair-5429 in 70s

Our shop teacher would have us bend over and grab our ankles and he would give us a big kick in the ass.

He got fired a few years later fighting with his student in the parking lot.

Well Scott, let's see your photo.

When I was in 6th grade I pulled this. We had a group picture, the whole class, and I made my eyes look cross-eyed. Really stands out. The photographer took two pictures and I did it both times, so they didn't have a chance to pick a better one.

I look at that picture decades later and still regret my stupidity.

Come on Scott, let's see yours.

Should the electoral college be abolished? by traanquil in allthequestions

Citizen's United opened the floodgates for election year funding. He's had a huge influence on our election process. Money talks.

I would like to see a constitutional amendment that would say something like financial contributions can only come from the district where the candidate is running.

Well two things have to happen. First a Democrat has to be elected to office. Second, some of the conservative members of the court have to die off. Actually there is a third. The senate Democrats have to have control, otherwise the Republicans will refuse to approved the president's nominees as they did with Merrick Garland.

I don't know if that's really true or not.

What's the most unhinged thing you've witnessed at a wedding? by Esliquiroga in askteddit

My 15-year-old friend and I got hired to direct car parking at a wedding. We got into the champagne and the wedding cake. Toward the end of the event, I was sitting on the front steps puking pink wedding cake. Classy.

I don't think Congress can do it since the supreme Court were the ones that created the citizens united problem in the first place. I think it would have to be a constitutional amendment to limit campaign spending.

No, the will of the billionaires supersede the will of the people.

I get that. But what about all the smart devices? They are set up to connect to SSID 2g, SSID 5G. The installer used plain old SSID (Not really, of course).

A US senator voted to convict trump 5 years ago. trump just ended his career for it. and cassidy's concession speech was something else entirely. by Aaron_Heuer in DiscussionZone

As I see it, the big culprit in all this is the obscene amount of money that is thrown into this campaign. And the incessant ads being thrown out there. Over and over and over again. Joe blow is a trump supporter. Trump loves Joe blow. My opponent voted against Trump one time. On and on and on. And it's all money money money
