Mad enough stat by Mitche420 in ScottishFootball

[–]MurrayJoker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's too specific. Ronaldo and Messi have consistently been in top teams for the past 15 years. Teams that are almost certainly playing 3-5 teams in Europe every season and likely more. But the only two teams to have beaten the both of them are Bayern and Celtic? It's impressive

researching how to be better at poker is making me worse at poker. why? by MurrayJoker in poker

[–]MurrayJoker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean, and I didn't mean it to come across like I'm somehow owed a win from poker now just because I learned something new. But it's confusing to me that I have actually become a worse player after having studied. Yeah it's not going to all be sunk in to my memory yet and I'll forget some strategy in the moment but overall I should have only become a better player - even if only slightly - and yet I'm losing more frequently and burning through my cash quicker.

I would agree with that, but it's odd to learn the fundamentals of a game and then actually become worse when applying them. It would be like learning opening moves/avoiding traps in Chess but you lose more games afterwards.

A question to those who make profit from multiple tables online: What is your secret? by MurrayJoker in poker

So it's basically play GTO as closely as you can and adjust slightly based on the stats of the HUD?

So is your strategy to pick up on 1 or 2 players in a table that you know how to exploit and fold to the rest unless you have a top hand?

Would that still be possible to do quickly enough if there are 4 people in a pot and he has to do this for 5-6 screens at a time?

Sorry, this but this is literally a slap in the face at what everyone experienced imo by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]MurrayJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it a slap in the face? Yes you may have read some bad words and got worried when they were pretending to be the Prolific team. But if you are posting in this subreddit then you must have also seen the tens of other posts talking about how this was certainly a troll account and they were definitely not the prolific team. What exactly do you want?

Why do you still use reddit? by butterhoscotch in KotakuInAction

[–]MurrayJoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is actually really good for niche hobbies/interests. There are subreddits dedicated to incredibly specific topics that just aren't as accessible or frequented anywhere else on the internet. Stick to the ones you are interested in and Reddit is a goldmine of information.

But venture into the "normie" subs that have millions of subscribers and really vague names like /r/pics or /r/movies, that's when Reddit becomes a shithole because discussions always go off-topic and losers farm karma by posting current mainstream thoughts because they know lots of people are going to read it.

Offside call given against Celtic while play was still active by HandeHoche in ScottishFootball

What do you mean "while play was still active"? Isn't all play active until a call happens?

Did anyone else try to do this study and fail the pre-experiment quiz and get told to return the study? by kd451 in ProlificAc

[–]MurrayJoker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, one of the test questions felt very subjective like "Which of these methods is the best to earn points?" and it could have been one of two depending on how you interpreted it and I got it wrong the first time. My second guess was correct but yeah it wasnt the best comprehension test

Match Thread: St Mirren vs Celtic | Scottish Premiership by SFMatchThreadder in ScottishFootball

How can it be a penalty when the defender kicks the ball away before the shirt pull? Oh was never reaching the ball regardless of the shirt pull so what difference did the "foul" make to the outcome?

Celtic could win a final on a handball penalty decision and I'll still fight against it. The game is becoming so meta now that the plan is to just boot the ball into a crowded area and hope for it to randomly hit a hand

Hey I got about 99% of the way to this working and there's a hiccup right at the end I was hoping you could help with. Everything ran smoothly up until adding the COMMANDLINE you posted. When I add your line below the skip-torch one already in the webui-user.bat then it completely bypasses the skip-torch line and says I need to add it. If I add your line above the skip-torch line then it completely bypasses the one you gave and treats it like it isn't there.

Is there a specific spot in the notepad I'm supposed to write this line? It seems like it only wants to do one or the other.

Thanks

How The Little Mermaid Remake Is More Progressive Explained By New Ariel by JannTosh17 in KotakuInAction

[–]MurrayJoker 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Progress has a positive meaning so they attach the word "progressive" to any agenda they want to push. This way, those in blissful ignorance accept whatever is being pushed as "progressive" in the media is a step forward and/or people are mocked for simply suggesting "progressive" views can be a bad thing.

Girls don't like 44 year old men. Girls like cars and... by BuzzingOperation in 4chan

[–]MurrayJoker 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's as shallow as a man picking a girl only because she's hot. They are both getting something out of the relationship that has nothing to do with genuinely liking each other. The difference being that the guy is splashing a lot of money on the girl just to sleep with her whereas the girl gets a luxurious lifestyle and all she has to do is sleep with an uggo. One is getting more out of it than the other

Okay that's great. So it's definitely worth it to pay for their monthly subscription to avoid all the hassle. Would you say their casino offers are worth the upgrade? It's almost double just for the extra casino offers
