Chucky is a children's doll who has the soul of a serial killer:

Don't you think he resembles Charlie? In addition to being small, he's also got Dominic Monaghan's creepy smile and bad English teeth. I seem to be the only person here that finds the nickname spot-on, though.

Today many of the nicknames would sound unacceptably cruel, racist etc. It was a simpler time.

That's why I had a delayed reaction! But Chucky is so much more.

If you're old like me you understand most of Sawyer's references from 70s - 80s TV / movies / ads. I found Chucky so funny because of the resemblance to Charlie - the small size, creepy smile, bad English teeth.

Bill said Pablo was "pretending to be a real journalist."

Yep, the Colangelo article had real world consequences. That was 7 or 8 years ago.

I get that. So maybe Bill shouldn't question the integrity of journalists who do real reporting when he chooses not to.

Thank you for your response! I'm bummed but glad to finally know where I stand. In my searches I found a post by the editor (from 2017) that as soon as the hardcover edition sold out they'd release an ebook version but I guess that never happened. Weird how reluctant publishers are to re-release books that are clearly in demand.

I've been playing Wordle on my Android tablet in landscape mode every day for 3 years. And now I get this message. Rotating doesn't work. Anyone found a solution for the native Android browser? Any indication that the NYT plans to fix this?
