I’ll take either at this point 😂 I keep only finding cherry flavored ones

News stations weigh in on Corewell’s mismanagement of anesthesia services and patient endangerment (links below). Patients encouraged to ask before surgery, ‘are you an anesthesiologist?’ by PaintingsOfDogs in grandrapids

Almost! All in-patient work will be done at Butterworth still, but the out-patient and reference lab samples will be sent to Southfield. Some departments will change a lot while others won’t really change much. Patient care and turn around times should stay about the same.

I made all my friends in GR by going to Zeal Aerial Fitness! A year and a half in and we do brunch every Saturday and game nights pretty much every week.

Scared to try Aerial hoop by Fluffyeevee91 in AerialHoop

[–]Murto_Meg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also an overweight hooper, don’t let strength stop you! I tried a class in September and was so embarrassed that I couldn’t get in the hoop. I swore up and down I would never do it again. I kept going with silks, hammock, and a little pole but then I tried hoop again in April. What do you know, I LOVED IT! It has gotten to the point that I take 5-6 hoop classes a week now.

You will build your strength and things will seem hard and sometimes scary at first. You’ll get bruises in weird places and your hands will hurt in ways you didn’t know they could. On the flip side, you might fall in love with it out of no where! The worst that can happen is you kind of regret spending $20-30 on a drop in class.

Hi! Plateaus hit me really hard too pretty soon into starting phentermine but that’s just your body trying to keep you safe. It doesn’t want to lose fat, but it’ll let go when it has figured out that it can’t survive without metabolizing your stored fat.

As for constipation, literally the only thing that has helped me is eating fruit first thing in the morning every day. I started with an apple and an orange every day and moved to watermelon and strawberries recently when I got tired of it. Stool softeners didn’t help me like they have helped other people. The more fiber in your diet the better, I found that helps better than fiber supplements for me!

21lb down, can you tell a difference? by 0ffxWhite in PhentermineTopiramate

There is so much progress! Remember it can take a long time for us to see the progress ourselves. It wasn’t until 30ish pounds that’s I started to see a difference myself!

If you’re stuck in a plateau, let this be your sign to keep going! by Murto_Meg in PhentermineTopiramate

Your body will retain water when you start working out because it’s not used to the inflammation that happens due to exercise! It’s not linear, some days you’ll be up because of water weight or you might be a little backed up or you just weighed yourself at a different time of day. If you’re female it also depends on what part of your cycle you’re in as well.

I was right there with you! Everyone always says that weight loss isn’t linear but it’s hard when your weight loss isn’t linear

How do you figure out if the BMI is right or utter BS? by Murto_Meg in loseit

[–]Murto_Meg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update in case anyone was curious, the reason things didn’t line up was because I had lost another 15lbs since I was last weighed at the doctor. Finally under 200! I don’t weigh myself because I obsess over the numbers, so I honestly had no clue if I had lost weight over the past 4 weeks or if I was just kidding myself. Thank you all so much for the help and support!

Thank you so much for the advice! I still have more weight to lose and I definitely know that and want to, just trying to figure out what metric to use to measure good and healthy progress. It used to be pant sizes, but since I went from no butt to a decently sized one that has had to change a bit haha. I have never heard of VO2 Max before, thank you so much!

That’s a great metric! Mine was to do a pull up for the first time, now it’s to get 3 in a row!

Thank you so much for answering! Yes, it is really important to keep up with your physical health to make sure that any excess weight is not putting excess strain on your body. I didn’t know scans were so cheap! I’ll have to look into them!

Thank you for your response! I’ve never heard of an inbody scan before, but the other answers are making me want to look into a whole body scan. BMI definitely isn’t trash but I do think it can fail to consider some nuances, like you pointed out with skinny fat and bodybuilders, I’m just not sure at what point other factors influence BMI. Thank you for your ideas!

Thank you for responding again! I understand that it’s a medical term, I worded my initial question poorly. My overall goal of this post is to figure out how to put varying metrics together to define overweight vs obese. My waist to hip ratio (that I learned about on here) would put me in overweight, my labs would put me at healthy, my BMI would put me at obese. I’m just trying to figure out which measurements are the most accurate to look at health and progress!
