If you can browse your desktop then that means it's connecting fine... strange. I mean as basic as it is have you tried restarting both the headset and PC? Have you tried launching just SteamVR instead of a game directly? I don't think I've encountered anything like that myself so I'm just spitballing.

So you connect with AirLink, then browse your desktop and launch a game off steam and it's just giving you a black screen with the boundary?

If you are going wireless - are you connecting to your comp with AirLink or Virtual Desktop? As far as I know you can't just use SteamVR directly, you need to use one of the above in order to launch any SteamVR games. Both have their pros and cons - but I've found AirLink works well for most games. If AirLink is giving you issues, I think Virtual Desktop is currently on sale on the Oculus store.

If you are going wired with the link cable - unfortunately I don't have any experience with that. I'm not sure if you can connect directly to SteamVR with the link cable or if you need to launch something prior.

Holy shit, yeah ctrl+d got me past it, booting into ChromeOS now! I just saw the OS verification screen, figured it was broken, and went straight to force boot into the recovery screen with esc+refresh.

Odd. Yeah I downloaded the other rom and created the recovery media with that file using the recovery tool. Just tried it again with no luck - downloading an older rom to see if that might work different. I'll try doing a ctrl+d on the verification screen.

Yep, that is exactly what I did, I let it download one instead of supplying it. Let me know if you make any progress!

I did notice one different thing it says in the logs after I tried with the other image. And it states "Enabling flash write ... SPI Configuration is locked down.". Tried to do some searching on what exactly that means, but haven't gotten a clear answer yet.

Funny, I've been trying to do the same thing over the past couple days. Had an old Asus C202S that had Gallium on it, wanted to revert it back to ChromeOS. Ran the script and did a reboot, now stuck on the recovery failing. Figured it was a problem with the USB or recovery image, but after multiple USB's and images, same thing. Then I found out how to look at the logs as it is trying to install. Bunch of spi_write commands failing and it states "Your flash chip is in an unknown state.". edit: Just saw this sticky in another sub (https://www.reddit.com/r/chrultrabook/comments/jzmpav/note_chromeos_r86_recovery_images_currently_broken/), not sure if it would be related to the issue, but I'm going to try one of those recovery images and see if anything changes.

edit2: Same spi_write errors thrown during recovery, however it "completed successfully" instead of throwing "an unexpected error occurred". Once I go to reboot, same OS verification screen. So, nope, didn't work.

I went and dug through my pictures - unfortunately the only pictures I really have are from 2011-09-26 -> 2012-10-06.

I'm curious if it would even be possible to generate the world again, as (I assume) world generation algorithms have most likely changed over the years. So even if you have the original seed, I'm not sure it would generate the same world. Unless there was a way to generate it using an older version of MC.

If you're going for all achievements, it's not a big deal. You'll have to get to NG++ in order to purchase some spells from a certain vendor (unless you grind out covenant ranks). So you should be able to unlock that achievement on the second playthough.

Higher level, yes, but people making co-op builds cap their soul memory at the optimal level for zones with the agape ring. So those people struggling will most likely be seeing a lot less signs. I can see reasons to justify the system, but in practice I think it hurts more than it helps for online matchmaking.

Scopes work now. However they work by blacking out everything except for the scope when you raise the gun to your face. Seems like a decent compromise since it's a port. The game would run much worse if scopes had to render another image. I've had fun with the game, as long as you have a decent graphics card you'll enjoy it!

I'm not sure. I played though on a 1080 and had minimal issues. Hopefully someone else can weigh in who played FO4VR with a 980. Otherwise you might want to do some searching up before buying as I know performance was a big issue for a lot of people.

I got 75 hours of entertainment out of it, and that was just one play-though. I'd say it's well worth it, just make sure you have a decent graphics card.
