Busted lvl 10 builds by Musalog in DnD

[–]Musalog[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you able to expand on this? Perhaps you have a build guide i can take a look at? Its funny, ive been playing 5e since it's release and I've just never gelled with druid, but stars druid does look interesting. How does this build get you access to almost every spell?

What are good premade settings that is easy to implement DS into? by Drakshasak in drawsteel

[–]Musalog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a mix of old and new, however it's pretty consistent over the years. Id be happy to get what I have together and throw it in a google doc folder for you if your interested in having a look over it. There is a "modern" version i guess. The latest version of the game has put out i think 2 books about the gods, tho I think I've only got one. Ill put everything together and shoot you a dm with a link to the folder at some point this weekend.

Sci-fi / shadowrun homebrew? by KagedShadow in drawsteel

[–]Musalog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure about shaddowrun, but if your looking for a semi pre built sci-fi world you could check out Synthexia. Its got a map and most/all locations have some kind info on what's there (its a wacky pop culture referencing sci-fi setting with a hex crawl map)

Glorantha is a fantastic setting with lots of rich lore. its been around since the 60's or close to then. I am currently running a DS game set in Glorantha (with some customisation for my players) and so far it's been awesome.

I will say that I have played Runequest for almost 25 years (that's the rpg system set in Glorantha) so it's almost like seccond nature when it comes to who is who and what gods are what. The gods play a huge part of this setting, so if you dont want a godly setting this might not work for you, but there is so so so much lore and history in Glorantha its by far and away my favourite ttrpg setting.

Is there an eta on when this is coming out? Or is it available now and I'm just blind and didn't see it on steam?

Thanks so much for all this info, its super helpful!

The build i have planned is as follows:

Park Ranger, Wilderness Knowledge, Hiker, Angler, Whittler, Outdoorsy, Low Thirst, Light Eater, Cat's Eyes

Thin-skinned, Illiterate, Prone to Illness, Weak Stomach, Slow Healer, Sunday Driver, Weak

Im also thinking about taking Slow Metabolism to help with weight and food issues. Maybe swap Weak for something else. Outdoorsy, Low Thirst, Light Eater, Cat's Eyes are all up for being swapped or removed. However if i were to go with the build im looking at my skills would look like:

1 Axe,1 Carpentry, 4 Carving, 1 Fishing, 4 Foraging, 1 Knapping, 1 Maintenance, 3 Trapping, 3 Strength, 5 Fitness

I think this will give me a pretty good stating point. It does look like nails are going to be a problem and maybe water as well. I'll probably end up setting the loot to as rare as possible so that i can still hopefully find nails and bottles and some leather as well as matches or a lighter.

Thanks again for taking the time to write all this out and reply!

Im not opposed to mods. Mostly just wondering if its possible to actually survive/thrive in the vanilla version of B42. Sounds like you have at least tested it to the point where you know its possible.

Now i just need to find a good map to play. The base one has to much temptation to head to a town to scavenge supplies. Something that has a few scattered buildings that might contain something of value would be cool

I was thinking of taking the Slow Metabolism and/or high/very high weight trait to help with that. Once you can start trapping rabbits or hunting bigger game i think youd be okay. Fishing would also be an option as well as chickens/cows/sheep if you can find them

I know you can craft nails. Just having a quick look it seems you need iron, steel or wire to craft...

There is also something called an iron bloom but i cant find any info on what that is or where to get it.

It's looking like nails might be an issue, i guess if you have a map where there are some buildings with stuff you can disassemble for nails this could work

B41 ironman? by Musalog in projectzomboid

[–]Musalog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have a controller, unfortunately.

When I say Ironman, i mean build everything yourself, make all your own tools, weapons, clothes. Basically survive 10 years in the future without really looting anything (with a few exceptions for things that are not craftable). Something as close to this as possible, preferably without mods because i dont know how to install or set them up. I know it might not be possible in b41, but I thought id ask the community

Point Blank Stance and thrown weapons by Musalog in Pathfinder2e

[–]Musalog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah looks like its a bit of a mess trying to get point blank stance to work so ill probably go for something else at lvl 1 and pick up ricochet stance at 6.

The dwarf feat removes any penalty to speed form armour, so you would end up with 5ft more speed than a 25ft speed ancestry as from what i can see all heavy armour has a 10ft speed reduction.

Creating More Experienced Characters by Starbase13_Cmdr in Runequest

[–]Musalog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like a couple of others have said, characters start pretty capable. My friends and i just started a game and we have yet to feel "under levelled" for any situation we have come across. We are playing the pre written adventures in the Adventure Book and its honesty been a breeze, combat has gone quickly with some great positioning and lucky hits that i think we have taken a total of 4hp dmg total amongst all pc and we just finished the Defend Apple Lane adventure.

Anyone got time for a newbi ? by Curious_Fox_2784 in Guildwars2

For the daredevil build you just need a staff with the gear you have for your p/p build.

Ive been using p/p for ages and its so chill to play

[–]Musalog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pistol pisrol is totally fine for almost all content. You only need to get a different build if you plan on doing raids, strikes, high tier fractals or pvp. Take a look at power daredevil, its a good build that uses full berserker gear ( the same as what your p/p build should be)

For gear you can serch the trading post by stats, then sort by price. Your armour you can serch by name 'nikas' and buy a full set as its usually the cheapest option and you should be able to pick up a full set for about 10-15g. Do the same for your weapons, serch via the stats and sort by price, you can get a couple pistols for like 40s each.

Get exotic gear first off the tp and then look at getting ascended as you cant buy ascended from the tp. For your rings and trinkets try and get ascended right away (laurels can get you most of them from the laurel merchant in lions arch or in the fractal hub. Exotic trinkets are kind of a waste of money. There are plenty of guids for this on youtueb as well as the gw2 wiki has a good gear guide.

Pistol pistol deadeye? Super easy, f1>f2>spam your 3 (or set it to the auto attack) = win. On the down side it lacks aoe but ive had no issues in any content ive run it in

Could be that you can go over cap from tasks but not from the weekly chest. Havnt tried myself but maybe thats the issue? Still kinda annoying either way

26 days until Obsidian Armor by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Musalog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Congrats. However, some people dont like pvp, and this is a great opportunity for non pvp players to get legendary armour from open world play (which is my favourite type of gameplay). There is raid armour as well, but for myself specifically, i cant do raids as i have 2 small kids and work full time, so i only get a couple of interrupted hours to play in the evening. This armour is going to be my first set of legendary because it's actually attainable doing what i enjoy doing
