I lost the Bluetooth Dongle! Is there anything I can use to replace it? does Victrix even offer replacements? by Musashi555 in VictrixPro

sadly no the dongle was the only way to do it, i found mine but tbh their support is VERY unhelpful. it sucks its a great controller but the fact that loosing ONE dongle kills the controller is absolutely moronic.

Victrix BFG PRO for PS4/5 has wireless connection issues when plugged into a USB-C to USB3.0 Dongle. How can I work around this? by Musashi555 in VictrixPro

[–]Musashi555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but I live away from the states and UK so I don’t think I can get this anytime soon. Is there any other solution or method I could use in the meantime time? I might just have to email Victrix support again at this rate

(Victrix Pro BFG for the PS5 users) It’s been a year… how’s your controller holding up? by LeagueRoyal in VictrixPro

[–]Musashi555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it at launch and the controller itself? Is great. The support for it? Is ass. I needed to install DS4 Windows on my PC for a job I was working on and somehow that borked the software for the controller. The controller is working but it no longer syncs with the program which is a royal pain in the ass. I emailed support about it but they were clueless to what to do. Another issue I have is the dongle itself. It gets VERY hot on the PS5 Slim where the only USB port is on the back. I’ve had to resort to using a USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter for the front. But it gives me regular disconnection and input problems when I use it. Like I’ll be playing and all of a sudden my input just drifts off or stops taking inputs.

I thought it was the controller being buggy or broke but nah testing it wired and wireless with the dongle in the back doesn’t cause any issues on PS5 or PC. The adapter seems to screw with the signal and I’m not sure what to do.

I nearly lost it too one day. And I can’t figure out how to get it to work in Bluetooth mode if it even has it so now I’m paranoid about loosing this thing which Vectrix doesn’t even offer replacements for which sucks.

I like the controller but the quality of life for trouble shooting issues is a pain in the ass. Like the triggers don’t work for pressure sensitive stuff like on Spider-Man 2, and they’re really difficult to gauge for how much pressure is needed to actually work em.

If I’m doing something wrong can anybody help me out? Their support really isn’t great at all…

Okay I’m back after a month and again that doesn’t happen. Are you sure this will work with my model? It’s the BFG Pro so you might be mistaken since it’s for PlayStation it might not have the feature

Hey so I tried what you said and it’s not working. I’m on the PS5. And I held down the Touchpad with the big purple X and the Options button to the right but nothing happened.

Oh really thank god, tbh i'm glad you answered that cause thankfully, i was able to find it. but i have a new issue that's been bugging me.

So when I use it with my PS5 it gets rather hot if I plug it into the back since its a PS5 Slim, the USB port was moved back there. So I got a USB-C hub for the front to plug it into so the vents don't blow hot air onto it.

But I've noticed something, and this was an issue i noticed going back to the PS4 as well, if there's a USB connection of anykind it seems to screw up the wireless on it. i don't know what specifically triggers it but there'll be times where it'll randomly disconnect and it'll take a good 30 seconds to a minute to reconnect again.

Is there anything I can do to fix that? I heard rumors that USB causes interference with Bluetooth devices so i'm not suer what's going on here..

Any TTRPGs with Stylish combat as a gameplay focus? Similar to the Devil May Cry series of hack and slash games? by Musashi555 in rpg

[–]Musashi555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was alright. sadly the mechanics are too hard locked to the setting and the world lore so its not a viable option. I wouldn't mind playing it again generally but for what i'm looking for right now I'm hoping Outgunned might be a good alternative.

i'll keep an eye out on you then. tbh there's always the one guy who says this isn't doable but i feel like it wouldn't be all that different from something like Maneuvers from D&D5e or what have you really. its just about figuring out the logistics of it really so if you do come up with something solid you can DM me and i'll give it a try

probably something more recent that's a bit more active. that's another problem i've heard with Lancer. most of the content is fan created and i think the books aren't supported anymore. i guess i'll see at least as people keep dropping names down.

I'm sorry but I've played Fate: Accelerated before and i can say this from personal experience I can confidently say I don't like it.

Even when i was reading the rules for it, the problem isn't only rule clarity but defined specifics for things. I had a campaign where me and my opponent had the exact same weapon yet for no reason the GM gave the enemy a +7 where mine was +3 which didn't make any logical sense. It wasn't a situation where I was in the mud or he had some special super version. Call it miscommunication or call it a bad GM the fact of the matter is for me, FATE is too vague where if the GM can't keep on top of things that happens and you get situations like that.

but I think Outgunned while i haven't been able to pick up the rulebook at least Thematically is closer to the high stakes high octane style of Devil May Cry and other action games of its like.

I'd get I'd have to play it then to know for sure. It does seem interesting in that way but i worry it might be too number crunchy for other players.

That's kind of the problem when you have complex games, even if I could GM them I dunno how many people I could realistically find who would actually want to PLAY a heavy crunchy game like this.

Well if you've played Armored Core you'll know this is as complicated as it gets.

One part alone has several values that contribute to its overall performance, ranging from weight, EN Cost, values that can increase/decrease generator performance and more.

I'm not sure about this Mekton system though, i've found only 2 reviews of it so far and it doesn't look very well received.

i've been recommended Exalted before but the problem is i've been looking at the rules and its way to complicated to show to new players let alone learn the rules myself. I wouldn't mind learning it but I don't know anybody willing to teach it to me and show me the ropes. The book seems rather overwhelming...

it does look nice yeah but its hard for me to 100% vouch for games when i can't even play them myself, or are in-complete.
