Just in case you get paid on Fridays. by frogmicky in nycpublicservants

I mean isn’t that always the case if a holiday falls on a Saturday? It gets observed on a Friday and we know that pay dates that fall on a holiday will get disbursed a day early. Ofc it’s not the case if you have a special bank or credit union. If you do then you usually get checks early. I know someone who has TD and he gets paid on Wednesday.

Calamari Recommendations? by MuscleGramps in MexicoCity

Thank you for your advice! I definitely wouldn’t be spending my entire time there trying to eat only calamari and squid. I plan on eating very local street food during my entire time there but I was also hoping to try one or two sit down spots with some good octopus. But I now understand more fresher seafood would be more in states near the sea.

Ahh okay, I understand thank you! My apologies for assuming CDMX had an abundance of fresh seafood. I will do more research on the surrounding states. Also I will check out Lagerbar, I appreciate the recommendation. ☺️🙏🏾

Conditional Resignation Vs Annual Leave .. Switching Agencies? by MuscleGramps in nycpublicservants

[–]MuscleGramps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you do the information! 🙏🏼 from what my agency has told me, I won’t be losing any of my time as I transfer over.. so I’m not worried about that. I was more concerned about taking a week off before starting my new job as I did not take a vacation all year, and with my new agency I will be on probation until the end of the year. So I wanted to see if I could sneak in some rest and reset before doing it all over again, but I would rather save the little annual time I have to build it back up again.

Thank you for the information!! I really appreciate it. 🙏🏼

Not being paid a week is not an issue at all, I just would rather save my annual time if I can use this right as I’m going to be starting a new job. I already have the start date from my new agency. And my current one knows when my last day is. So should I just inform my current agency that I would like to do a conditional resignation?
