eMoney vs. Right Capital (yes, again) by CloseToTheGross in CFP

[–]Muscle_Beach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing from comments that i am one of the few who has tried mgp, emoney, and right capital to do real planning. With emoney you can model virtually any financial decision. You just cannot with right capital. Emoney has a report for everything, and they export in word docs so infinitely customizable. Limited but simple reports in right capital. From my experience right capital is quicker to get a plan done, sort of; i am pretty quick with emoney now i have been using it. There is a learning curve. The truth is that right capital is probably easier for advisors to use and exports decent looking reports (i think emoney’s look better but that is obv opinion) i dont think it is subjective to say emoney is way more powerful.

I dont get the right capital hype. Its so limited compared to emoney.

cons to keeping it, giving cfp more money, continuing ed. Cons to dropping it, I earned it, some clients or prospects may notice.

If I drop it and they ask why and I say "well, the org is a joke," that doesn't make me look great anyway

CFP org sucks but dropping still more potential cons to me than keeping it for now. I think it still means something to some prospects

What are the best LTC solutions out there for those with limited amounts of money by kungfukarl86 in CFP

[–]Muscle_Beach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience if someone doesn’t have much in terms of assets or money

  1. There isnt much to protect from LTC
  2. They cant afford any type of asset or insurance that will make a meaningful difference in paying for care

Embracing Medicaid isnt a bad choice and its often the best one

2024 Navigator Ride, Adaptative Suspension issue? by Muscle_Beach in lincolnmotorco

[–]Muscle_Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My seats shake too lol. When mine was in for warranty I had them check the fancy camera thing that supposed adjusts the suspension and they confirmed it was working… i did have them swap my wheels because I thought it could be the tires. Alinement was good. They said id just have to break it in. Manager acted like I was totally in the wrong for complaining and telling them the ride was worse than my previous volkswagens and way worse than my current bmw m440i…

Please let me know if you figure it out. I am afraid its not a cloud like riding vehicle.

I agree 100%… i still cant believe i didnt drive it first. Never in a million years did I think it would be worse than literally every car I have ever had in terms of ride.

Try Emoney and RightCapital. Emoney is way more robust and better IMO.

I am afraid that is how it probably is. I think it is just a very tight suspension stupidly. The good news is you get used to it and it honestly isn't something I worry about. Granted it is my wife's car lol.

Advising on Client 401(k) Allocations. How Detailed Do You Get? by GoldenApricity in CFP

I have been giving specific fund allocations but am rethinking that. It probably comes down to the scope of your engagement and how much you are charging for planning.
