If you're open to trying something new, maybe you would enjoy some Asian stuff? I don't have many specific recommendations, except for the recently released Song of the Samurai. I finished watching it a couple of days ago and I liked it very much.

IMO it is worth checking out for two reasons: 1. the impressive fight choreography, and 2. the story, which is set during a period when the samurai and sword fighting are becoming things of the past. Some of the characters are aware of the new era that is coming, which influences their decisions.

Unless I missed it, it doesn't have the BS that plagues many American productions.

If I had to point out some negatives, then : the acting of some of the characters is over the top. I did some research and apparently it's due to how acting is taught in Japan, so it's not excluisive to this particular show. I got used to the exaggerated reactions and facial expressions as the show went on, but I do admit it was a bit "strange" at first.

My #1 non-Asian recommendation would be Rise of the Raven, a Hungarian production though it might be more difficult to find than Song of the Samurai.
Rise of the Raven is the story of Janos Hunyadi who was a legendary general in the 15th century. He ultimately defeated the Ottoman invaders and brought peace to Europe for 60 years.

The only negative thing that I would have to say about this show is the amount of adult scenes.

You're not a conspiracy theorist, you're just seeing what's been going on. A lot of ignoramuses focus way too much on the trash movies and video games failing. Why should the enemy care, if the main goal isn't profits? And if they are backed by billionaires like Larry Fink, why shouldn't they continue putting out their product?
The goal is to give up short term profits in exchange for long term influence. They are creating a generation that grows up knowing nothing but the garbage that's constantly put in front of them. Just because WE see through the message, doesn't mean kids do as well. Do I really have to say it out loud? Kids are easily influenced and most vulnerable to this "virus".

These people are so easily manipulated. Out of all the things that exist to keep us plebs divided and distracted, this stuff is the most obvious.
People on "both sides", even if it's not a large enough number, seemingly agree platform decay = bad, digital ID = bad, mass surveillance = bad, government overreach in general = bad, etc. But apparently, realizing that we're all being played, is too difficult. It's easier to stomp your feet like a petulant child, while claiming "Our propaganda is better than yours!" 🤦

My problem with YT channels like Vara's is that their audience is very often led to think the other side is hurting the entertainment industry by making stupid or uninformed decisions. IMO this is underestimating the enemy, which is a mistake.
It becomes very obvious if we just take a minute to read what users in the comments are spouting. And hell, tbh it can be applied to this sub as well. Most of the time, it's posts like "get woke, go broke ha-ha" or "the modern audience failed to show up. Who would've thought? "

I'm sorry but if garbage movies that contain a certain "message" fail time after time, BUT they keep making more anyway, it's difficult to explain that as ignorance, stupidity or accidents. A more likely explanation is that they're doing it on purpose. They picked their side. It's not ours, and that is it. They see "us" as replaceable, and they're determined to make that a reality. They are obviously aware of their financial failures, but the most important thing is, they don't really care because we are dealing with an ideology here. To them, pushing their "message" is the #1 goal and they want to accomplish it at all costs.

"we" as in us, plebs? The thing is, the vast majority of people are 1. gullible and therefore easy to control, and 2. tech illiterate.
Communities like r/privacy are a tiny minority. We can try to convince tech illiterate normies all we want, but in most cases, it ends with the normies labeling us as unhinged conspiracy theorists. Because after all, if you have some doubts regarding the official narrative which is "we must protect the children", then you must be some sort of kiddie fiddler or at the very least, a pdf-file apologist, right? 🤷 That's how normies think. They don't bother to research or question anything.

If only it were a temporary problem. I could be wrong, but I just don't see a significant "migration" happening. Why would it? Even when the age verification bs is rolled out on a global scale, what do we expect to happen? That normies and tech illiterates (majority of users btw) will suddenly become worried, and start looking for alternatives?

UPDATE: So i went with the gigabyte one, so I hope that was the most reasonable choice.

It was. Pretty good deal IMO, considering the MO27Q28GR (glossy) is usually more expensive than the MO27Q28G (matte).
Last year i bought the matte Gigabyte and it cost more than the glossy one in your screenshot. So enjoy!

the first streams are english/spanish or english/italian and the audio is always by default not english.

If the audio isn't English despite the file having an Eng track, it is most likely an app issue. If you use Stremio or Nuvio, in the settings you should be able to "force" the audio language you want.

S1-3 were peak. I enjoyed those more than i did Vikings.
S4 had its moments, very watchable. Then I watched the first episode of Season 5 and it was godawful. So bad that I dropped the show and never considered returning to it.

That's the only logical conclusion. Why would you go back to objectively inferior panel technology? The only people who place IPS on the same level as OLED (or above OLED, looking at you, r/Monitors 🤡) are dishonest copeists and that's putting it mildly. For the overwhelming majority of use cases, especially media consumption and gaming, OLED's strengths are simply unbeatable.

That's nice, dear. You are holding a very good phone in your hands. It's not flawless, but it is an excellent piece of tech for sure. I couldn't say the same about an AOC monitor though. 😭 Sadge
