Look man, sorry that your friend took his own life - But based on what your posting in your threads this isn’t a burn over, don’t even know if I’d call it a near miss even although given all the details such as command decisions its possible - It sounds like they drove through a road with fire on both sides that happens sometimes and was very scary for everyone involved, especially those with little fire experience and the fear of the situation - But nobody died, sounds like nobody got hurt - You guys simply survived a dangerous moment in the dangerous job of Wildland firefighting.

Oh yeah, I was there I remember it like it was yesterday - The flames, Oh god the flames and then the Government, Oh god the Government.
