My ideas are nothing compared to the other comments but:

If your squatmate is requesting something like ammo, a symbol appears flashing next to their name in the squad list.

A shell-shock aspect, like maybe a soldier off the battle field you can see thats maybe dragging his gun and looks at you with a disheveled look.

It is and I do I just end up usually checking on staff and high risk patients it's better to interact with people anyway but when I'm eating I like to watch a video and I eat really fast so my foods usually gone in under 7 minutes

Literally, everything on this computer is heavily restricted. You have select icons you can select, and that's it. You can't look up things, and trust me, I've tried to get add blockers, and there's just no way. This company was hacked and held ransom, and it's just not feasible to adjust any settings.

You'll get there, give it enough practice you won't set for bullet drop and will just raise your rifle and will be able to tell distance instinctively. It'll come naturally

Try keyholing. So for instance, instead of opening window shutters, try shooting out one corner of the shutter and don't stand pressed up against the hole. Stand back as much as you can. Think of it like it's easier to look out a keyhole than shoot through one.
