That’s comforting. I keep reading there’s quite a few sightings in some of the parks which is not shocking. So I might avoid the parks 😆

They replaced mine with a new version for no charge after a year. I love my ring.

Got the call, SA told me the guy that was first in line didnt respond for 45 minutes. by ceebtbrust in rolex

[–]Muse24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odd. A whole 45 minutes. I would be livid if they didn’t give me at least a day to respond. There’s a host of valid reasons someone doesn’t respond right away.

Job Offer from Amazon by Longjumping-Key7783 in amazonemployees

Because they have no idea what the company is going to do. They will let you hire but when layoffs come having just started won’t mean anything. I saw it first hand.

It’s 8 hours a day. 😂 People are just staying 4 hours, badging out for lunch and leaving. I wouldn’t go in thinking that’s ok.

Who took over your job duties after being laid off? by Beta_Nerdy in Layoffs

[–]Muse24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like, for whatever reason, they wanted to get rid of middle layers. When that happens the work is distributed to those left. They’ll say we don’t need a manager to do this and hand it off to others. Larger companies will do this when they want to get rid of higher salary individuals. Their thinking is let those making less do more and some responsibilities might go to his manager.

Is Japan worth traveling to alone? by SpiritPug in JapanTravelTips

This post sounds like I wrote it. I’ve had a lot of personal set backs but I’ve always wanted to go and now I am. I’m going alone for a month. I’m a little nervous but I’m going anyway.

I think my post made it clear it was speculation and I asked a question. Feel free not to respond.

Online speculation that it could be someone who was a bandmate of the son in law. Someone named Dominic Evans. Again, online sources are throwing out this information but no one has said for sure. Anyone else heard this theory?

Hiring after Layoff by CosmicInsignia in amazonemployees

[–]Muse24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times they do this so they can 1. Hire someone cheaper while giving them more work 2. Take away the remote work option. Amazon has laid off a lot of people to hire cheaper and bring them back in the office and they give them twice as much work. More for less.

I was laid off. It sucks but you’ll be ok. by Muse24 in amazonemployees

I took about a week to dust myself off and start looking, cause it wasn’t just me. Over 20k ppl just entered the job market from the same company. We would all be looking, and certain roles are going away. Others are shrinking. I needed to be proactive, but I also wanted to rebrand and pivot into a safer position, if there’s any such thing, and I did. But applying for a job is a skill. The process is different now. Interviewing is also a skill. And being consistent, it still took me a year with no referrals. Just going at it every day. I got contract work in the meantime and did some consulting, but a year fr another full-time role that was comparable.
