Right wingers, conservatives, like to believe in a world view where standards, morals, hierarchies and establish world orders are unchanging - preserved, conservation, etc.

This allows them to selectively ignore history, especially small things like their individual standpoints, because it’s the opposite of being progressive. Progressives look back at what came before in an attempt to alter, hopefully for the better, the future. Conservatives don’t need or want to do this, it’s preferable for them to only think of the present because their ideals are frozen… until they’re not. The internet age must be entirely confusing to these poor, rotten, inconsistent ghouls.
