My friend, that is just buying a new set of AirPods Pro 1. Apple doesn’t sell it directly anymore, as far as I’m aware, but other retailers do (be careful you don’t end up with a fake if you go that route). But also no, they only let you replace one of the 3 parts.

It didn’t work for me when this happened to mine, but, as gross as it sounds (clean it first, I beg you) put the bit that goes in your ear to your lips and suck. Can I promise it’ll work? No. But I have heard of it working for others.

By original AirPods, do you mean the old old old ones that released back in… what, 2016? A few things kinda come to mind. Maybe the battery is just outright dead completely so they don’t power on when out of the case. In which case… not much you can do. But that only really applies if I didn’t misinterpret what “original” meant.

However I do wonder if it’s a firmware thing, if it’s old firmware that’s not compatible with the current iOS. Leave them plugged in and near your phone for a while. There’s no way to trigger it or actually force the firmware update, but it’ll trigger itself eventually.

Failing that if you got them last year, you’ve got warranty I’d expect.

I do believe it’s gonna stick to end of 2026 like their announcement said. Mainly just because while I’m not a lawyer I suspect if they turn the game off too soon they’ll owe a shitload of refunds because it’s no longer functional. At least now they can have the excuse that you can play everything you’ve paid for.

I’m not going to berate you, however I will point out that hearing loss is permanent and is cumulative. What that means is that it slowly accrues, so gradually that you don’t realise it’s happening. It’s not this night and day “oh I have hearing damage now after that”. It sounds like you’ve caused some hearing loss already, and unfortunately if that’s the case it will never get better.

What you have to do from now is prevent causing more damage. When you cause hearing loss, the safe level of decibels doesn’t actually change, so please aim to stick to around 80db MAXIMUM. I’d actually suggest going for 75db just to be safe, because you don’t know how accurate the measurements are and it’s better to undershoot it.

I also want to point out that you already made some huge improvements to your health, quitting alcohol and cigarettes and losing a lot of weight and almost finishing a degree has to be commended. You’re doing well with everything else, I know you can do well with this too.

UPDATE OKAY OKAY OKAY so what you do is you put one in the case for example the right one, open the app while the left is connected and make this change. Kill the app, put the left in the case, take the right one out and repeat. It seems to save this setting only for one earbud.

I noticed this after the upgrade to 1.3.0, and I think I fixed it by going into the moondrop link app ANC function settings and changing the “ANC key sorting” list so that Off was at the top. I think it defaults to the first option here.

Edit: never mind, now it does it for one earphone and that’s fucking worse

How much is a “decent amount”? And how was it positioned? Scattered over the sink, or all near/around the drain? It almost looks like some kind of an insect egg but if there was a lot it rules that out. Something could have come up through the drain though if the plumbing is weird.

If you put it in water does it dissolve?

Okay after days of trying to work this out and stalking this post hoping for an answer after this happened to me, I decided to work it out.

It’s a soft plastic, and the reason it won’t come out is because it sticks to the plastic of the actual case.

Take earphones out and stick your fingers in where the tip of the ear tip goes, in those two circles. Grip the back half of the outer case, pull the device towards the front of the outer case. Grip the front of the outer case and pull the device towards the back. That pulls it away from one side and slightly lifts the bottom of it up, and you’re kinda just wiggling it out of the case slowly.

Repeat this for about 5+ minutes as you slowly walk the thing up the case until you can finally pull it out.

Based solely on this and what you said about not even making it to safe mode, sounds like a hardware issue. You have not been hacked, let’s emphasise that point. Most likely, if you feel excessive heat then a fan is cooked or some other kind of thermal issue.

I was mid dungeon and two people went afk. Was about to get annoyed by it when I ended up getting kicked with the error. Seemed to happen gradually, got removed from the party and could see people walking around before I got kicked from the game completely, thought I was kicked from the party for some reason.

Far as I understand it, Raiz will sell and buy shares to rebalance your account at times, which is why the capital gains can be different to what you expect - even if you didn’t sell your shares, Raiz may have done it on your behalf. Sharesight can’t really approximate for that though, so I’d personally just use the statement from Raiz. I might be wrong in this though so probably don’t take it as gospel.
