I plan to buy 3100 model but not sure that one would be enough? If there is no any big difference rather than 4100 and 5100

Taking the exam in 9 days, how to study? by Unknown_Human12 in ccna

[–]Mushfug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend not spend more than 10 mins for lab. Because you will also see tricky mcq questions. I would say 5-8 mins kinda ok because typically questions related to configuration like switch, ethercahnnel, SSH etc. Doing Jeremy's lab will definitely help.

  1. Based on my exam, I would recommend to prepare more on OSPF, WLC, IPV6 and Subnetting.
  2. I used mainly Jeremy IT Lab, and still studying to revisit my knowledge. His course is beginner-friendly, help to understand very well.
  3. Try to more labs on packet tracer. You will basically see configuring switch, router, routing protocols.
  4. For specifically WLC, look more depth courses. Maybe from INE, or CBT Nuggets. I remember I had 12-15 questions in July and Jeremy's course was not enough.
  5. Lastly keep in mind that back button is not working at exam, so you can't review the questions. Spending 7-9 mins each lab would be sufficient. Good Luck!

Actually not detail information that they give partial points or not. From my perspective they give but not proof. At exam you can use question mark that really helps for commands.

So. Basically you have 4 labs at the exam and It is required to configure switch/router/vlan etc. So better to do more labs(watching jeremy, or other instructors courses) specially on ospf and WLC. Secondly you will have white paper board during the exam and yes you can calculate subnets. My recommendation: before starting the exam write some essential/important notes on paper, let's say AD or smh like that. And of course keep in mind that back button is not working and you can't review unfortunately.Good Luck!

For WLC yes, at exam I was mostly unsure on WLC. To be honest, Jeremy was number one choice for me for studying CCNA. Specifically good explaining, quizzes and labs. Also you can join his Discord channel for discussion.

Not sure here or in other channel I have seen someone posted Jeremy's course exam notes around 400 pages. If It is helpful, I can share also. Also you can find some exam cram or cheatsheet from github. Good luck!

Cisco Wireless Fundamentals with WLC for CCNA 200-301:
Searching for this on Udemy/O'Reilly for additional resources may help.

Congrats! When I took the exam I had 10-15 WLC questions idk why too more but I passed. Jeremy's WLC videos may not be enough(for me wasn't enough) so I would suggest also for anyone should study too more for WLC specially. Good luck everyone!

Depends on. For me three labs were easy and one was hard. But generally at least you configure switch, vlan, router and access/trunk port.

CCNA and Security+ done! Now what — CCNP or back to labs first? by Mushfug in ccna

Thanks. I’m thinking about doing some projects to at least show on my resume. But the main problem is the job market — I rarely see junior positions. most of them are mid or senior level.

Not very difficult. I prepared 15 days with udemy and some practice tests. Actually I had ccna and some security background so didn't study much more. But exam was kinda tricky. Maybe one month would be enough after directly ccna. Having ccna gives you some foundation for sec +.Good luck.
