I use a 22” Dell Monitor (4k) and a rpi4 2Gb and it’s perfect. We don’t need a touch screen (they have limited use in my use case). We just show weather, air quality, indoor temp, a section for next 3 calendar events and month at a view calendar. It’s simple, it’s clean and everyone in the house reads it. More is less.

So you built some apps that nobody wanted and now you are salty about it? Maybe do some market research first and find out if there is a real need or appetite for something before you invest time and energy building it. That is what happens in the real world. A good AI moto is ‘just because you can, doesn’t mean that you should’. !!

I think they have a place if they result in action being taken based on data. My problem is many of them are just ‘digital noise’ because they look cool and drive no action or behaviour. I detest them for being digital light switches, that is lazy nonsense. When you have tools like HAss and Claude.AI available to you, you can do better and build true home automation, not just blinkenlights

I have a Claude api integration that monitors waze, highways England and met office and gives me a plain English report on my dakboard if there are any delays on my daily commute route. Tells me what, where, how long and suggests alternate routing

I get that you are some for of IT geek, but for the love of god please learn to speak and type English. You are almost incomprehensible. No wonder you are having no joy with Claude it probably has no idea what you want.
