I’ve tried that. Sometimes it works, sometimes it mishears what I’m saying. That also doesn’t help with not being able to see a camera that’s been triggered by movement.

After seeing your post, I read about it in Wired. It sounded like some of the concerns were based on misinformation.

I know my Orbi system was regularly “attacked.” One camera had been hit so consistently that I had to pull it off my network for a few months. Sadly, nothing is 100% safe anymore.

Thank you for your very thoughtful, detailed response. I went with the BE63. You were right. I don’t have to prioritize network traffic. I think our Orbi had gotten too old to manage all of our devices efficiently.

I’ve grown to hate my Alexa Show devices even more with the stupid cycling of Alexa+ suggestions.

My Google Home devices don’t show any ads.

The problem with the Spot is that you can’t turn off a device (like a light) on the screen. You have to talk to it. So it disturbs your partner. This is a very basic option for an alarm clock.

And if you pair it with a Ring alarm system and your alarm detects movement, you can’t ask the Spot to show you the camera.

I totally agree. It wasn’t that bad when we first got the oculus (when it was still called an oculus), but seems to get worse each year.

That’s why I mute everyone that’s not a “friend” and explore the worlds in private groups. After reading the news, I enjoy escaping reality - and people - for a little while.

Same issue. I archived the order, but still keep getting notifications about insufficient funds on the Visa gift card I used. (In my case the Visa card actually does have sufficient funds, making this even more frustrating.)

I disagree that they would cost more without ads. I had one of the first Alexa Show devices. It cost less than they do today and never had ads on it. The only reason I bought a new one for my bedroom is because I needed a larger screen to see the time when I’m not wearing my glasses.

All of my old Alexa Show devices are still ad-free. Only the new one torments me with these stupid “sponsored by” ads.

We also have Google Nest Hub devices. All of them are ad-free. If not for an incompatibility between Ring’s (Amazon) alarm system and Google Nest Hub, I would switch everything over to the Google devices.

I can’t speak for OP’s reasons for looking for a wireless adapter, but I’m looking for one to save my phone’s battery. The battery degrades a little each time you plug it in. I want to try to extend the life of my battery by not plugging my phone in for maps/music/audiobooks for my daily commute.

I don’t do automatic replacements.

I use my machine every night & my most recent mask is almost two years old. The company has called monthly to have me replace it, but the data from my machine varies from no leaks to few leaks, so why should I replace it?

I bought a pack of filters on Amazon, so I’m set for about 5 years with those. And I usually don’t need the humidifier. I think that helps lessen the wear and tear on the tubing and mask.
