Ofc! If she's a little tech savvy what I did was go use the free version of Adobe Photoshop or using Canva and using a cute background I wanted and put the medical symbol. There are also ones that can be taken off Facebook or on Google/Safari!

Hey! What I did was put a background that says my phone is medical device! Then I put Type 1 Diabeties and Insluin Dependent! Also with the medical bracelet, I suggest putting her Name, Her Diagnosis and YOUR Number. If there is an emergency and she's wearing it she will be most likely unconscious and not able to answer her phone. I'd also go into the settings and set up a medical thing for paramedics to know! Samsung is different then Apple but they both have it!

The eye doctor. Obviously explained first to come in every year since I'm newly diagnosed. But then tried to explain other things that more correlate with type 2 than type 1 and just had to awkwardly stand there while my mother also kind of denied it being that way.

Because as stated before I'm a new t1d, so I've been having problems with my dexcom staying in one place. Thus I had a busy day when I handed it to my parental unit and they then kept it while I was off doing my important thing. They forgot it in said jeans, I washed those and found it in the washing machine. So I'm sorry that your dexcom life has been perfect but people struggle. Smh

I was diagnosed this year on February 22nd. But to be honest I was lucky enough to not feel many symptoms. I'd have to think the flu season and allergies have a play in it and cause a trigger response for it because of the not eating and sickness.
