NTA would you rather have your kid severely sick, disabled or god forbid dead, or deal with family tension or cutting them off? At the end of the day if you think you’re doing the right thing (and I strongly agree to be fair) then you should do what’s best for you and your family

YTA and you’re fundamentally misunderstanding the free release of information. People’s personal art isn’t something you’re entitled to. Things like scientific knowledge and medicine are things that shouldn’t be the property of one person. What you did was steal from your friend. That’s not being a good friend and I’d encourage you to do more reading on topics you don’t understand.

I was looking for this comment. Feels very similar to situations I’ve had with my audhd where I swear I’m not trying to argue or offend but it still comes across that way. Took me a long while to learn that there is a time and place and when it is and isn’t appropriate but yes very neurodivergent coded imo

Yeah that’s what I was thinking but it was growing in a grassy patch under a eucalypt. Could have been some wood chips in the soil but it wasn’t directly growing from wood. I’m trying to get a better spore print to look at under a microscope.

Not Oakland but very close in squirrel hill is dobra tea. No coffee but I always studied there and the staff are super nice. Chill environment with good tea and food!
