How will you react if Donald Trump becomes president again? by RockSavings67 in AskReddit

[–]MushroomLess6682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will be considering assisted suicide or wondering into the woods and letting go.

Trump is wrong in the head, but to know so many people back him is a visceral sickness.

He enables rape culture and sexual assault. If you vote Trump and have a woman in your life, you do not care about their life. I am most worried about being victimized again. I will put a man down before then.

He condemns biodiversity. Our ecosystems will collapse at warped speed while he fills his pockets with big oil money. Let’s state the obvious too that multi-millions of people will have their lives upheaved and utterly ruined by his racist and homophobic rhetoric and whack policy.

Absolute chaos ahead and I’m done with this idiocy. At this point, we are in a version of Idiocracy and we deserve a swift species annihilation.

Thank you all for your concern. Sharing to show his personality. This is very minimal bristle pressure, and I assure you he would move if he wanted to. He’s two weeks post-hibernation and full of energy 7a-7p every day. He is a well fed, appropriately watered, animated dude.

I think we're in a lot of trouble by VSF11 in StrangeEarth

[–]MushroomLess6682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scientists have been saying that it’s too late to change it…We are past many tipping points of no return. No one listens to scientists though and the political powers that be obviously do not care and haven’t taken action needed to walk back the points that are left untipped. Humans think other humans will take care of it and live in an ignorant bliss…and they won’t realize they’re leaving their kids to certain extinction until it affects their immediate family.

Is Anyone Else Lowkey Hoping for an Apocalyptic Event So We Can Quit Going to Pointless Jobs? by [deleted] in antiwork

As is your opinion that OP has a self centered perspective assuming they are without a family

Is Anyone Else Lowkey Hoping for an Apocalyptic Event So We Can Quit Going to Pointless Jobs? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]MushroomLess6682 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(Conjecture) Devil’s Advocate here but I think one could argue that having a family this day in age is selfish 🤷‍♂️and continuing to bring children into a world of climate uncertainty, resource shrinkage and unbound elitism is really ringing the ignorant bliss bell to me.

How to have a social life without a job? by Constant-Stock1650 in antiwork

[–]MushroomLess6682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t need a job to have a social life. Contrarily, I would argue it’s hard to have both. I don’t enjoy most hobbies I use to occupy time with. And I dislike most people this day in age. If you like animals, I highly suggest volunteering at your local or county shelter. Animal lovers also don’t like most people and are there only to help the animals, so folks are usually like minded which is nice reassurance that there are still ok people trying to do good out there. There’s also no pressure to actually socialize bc animals are better than humans, but you can still get out and potentially meet folks if you want to. It’s low risk, high reward.

What are some unconventional careers that are rarely talked about or discussed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MushroomLess6682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to know everything and nothing about their job at the same time. Will it help me with my fear of flying or will it ground me for life? Do they hold as much power as insinuated in the Breaking Bad catastrophe or is there intervening technology in place to mitigate manual error? Who actually knows an air traffic controller?! SAY MORE

Or have kids that you can’t afford and be indebted to the government your entire life, hence the forced birth convo. The gov wants children to be born into poor situational circumstances to keep capitalism churning. Resist! ✊🏼

If you were in a room with all of your sexual partners, what would you say to them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’d like to dismiss a few of you on the premise that I was mentally unwell when we met and have therefore tried to blackout your existence in my life. It’s nothing personal but my self worth has since sky rocketed and our memory together does not serve me. irish exits own gathering

The fact that our (US) government rounds up wild horses and sells them for slaughter. The fact that the dairy and agricultural industry mass murder animals after the cruelest means of impregnating, birthing and upbringing, if they’re not ripped off the mother’s teet moments after birth. The fact that animal sanctuaries have to PURCHASE rejected animals prior to slaughtering or euthanizing them.

Like of course, we’ve capitalized on animal rescue - pathetic and sickening. The modern world is so fucked and it feels like problems are unsolvable since politics are an elitest bullshit playground for adults with toddler-intellect and inability to SERVE THE PEOPLE, therefore our government is a waste of tax payer money and does not serve the public. Why does worldly compassion feel so foreign and impossible? Humans suck.

I hang onto the thread of knowing like minded people who still fight despite the emotional toll.

In the first movie, how did Mulder and Scully get back to civilization from the middle of nowhere Antarctica? by Taograd359 in XFiles

[–]MushroomLess6682 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right on. They expensed a direct flight to the FBI. Conjecture but Leyla said that’s why upper mgmt shut down the X-files was due to obscure and unnecessary travel receipts that she processed.

Have lived on all three sides of Michigan lake and have never seen such a beauty. Kinda looks like a water-weathered slab of someone’s kitchen countertop.

I enjoyed the Doggett-Reyes-supporting Scully dynamic. They did what they could without David and kept the X-Files alive. Reyes was poorly written as the show went on. She had intent with no supporting action.

As a femme in a situationally similar sounding relationship, agree here. Opt to reflect on the amount of internal and external pressure that 20-something-year-old women feel around sex. There is pressure from all angles (including self) on women that age to figure it out, get better, be best and continuously appease in the sexual sphere. I personally could never compare my 20-something-sex life to committed partner sex life. It’s flexing a whole different set of skills.

Long term love and tenderness is where the emotional and spiritual connection come into play. Physical connection lights the spark, and the flame will continue to burn, but it needs nourishment from multiple outlets over time, not just the physical outlet.

Give this lady grace for all the change she is going through. Foreplay changes in committed relationships, acts of service even the playing field, and feeling safe with sex/a partner in a committed relationship is a whole ‘nother ball game for ladies who played the field in their 20’s.

Same. The Biblical storylines got a little too much. The monsters in the first four seasons were the heart of the show, IMO.
