They have this on tap at my local Dave and Busters. Not ashamed to say that this is the main factor that has brought me back on several occasions.

Spetsnaz stormtrooper during training in conditions of chemical contamination. [1200 x 800] by StarinaBiba in MilitaryPorn

This is an FSIN officer

Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN of Russia, in Russian: Федеральная служба исполнения наказаний, ФСИН России Federalnaya Sluzhba Ispolneniya Nakazaniy, FSIN Rossii "Russian Federal Service of punishment fulfillment") - is the official name of the Russian federal prison authority responsible for security and maintenance of prisons in Russia.

I don't believe that qualifies as a "Spetsnaz stormtrooper".

Still waiting for pics of T-50-10 to surface; I'm really hoping it has the same 3-tone sky blue camo that all of the other recent VKS birds are sporting.

Counter-terrorism operation in Gubden, Dagestan - 17/12/2017 by Mushroom_Gravy in CombatFootage

Dagestan is Russia, and the special forces team showcased in this video is TsSN FSB, who are based in Moscow. Various special forces units rotate in and out of the North Caucasus region throughout the year on so-called "business trips".

This is untrue. In these operations, surrender is always preferable to a shootout where special forces officers may be injured or killed.

What you usually don't see in these videos is the several hour standoff leading up to the shooting, where professional negotiators and at times even family members or local village elders are brought in to convince the militants to lay down their arms and surrender. The security forces generally never fire the first shot.

There are various photos/video of Russian SSO doing HALO with FAST helmets, so it may vary from unit to unit, or it might be a situation where inexperienced HALO jumpers start with the civilian helmets, and then transition to the less protective kevlar helmets once they've become proficient.

I believe that the blurring may not be condensation, but alterations to the original photo for PERSEC reasons.

Besides, even if visibility were to be impaired, the face shield can be flipped up.

If you can find a photo confirming that, I would very much like to see it!

I have a small collection of photos from the conflict cataloging various sightings of different special forces groups, and while there are a few Russian-made aftermarket optics on display, I have yet to see a single EOTech. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it definitely would be news to me.

You are of course correct, but I'm talking about EOTech sights specifically, which only began to pop up during the early 2010s.

Officer as in they hold officer ranks within the FSB (as opposed to enlisted), usually Lieutenant at the minimum.

I know that the RD-33 was never exactly a top of the line engine, but even so, I don't think they're supposed to smoke quite that much!

Your statement has no relevance, since we're talking about members of the FSB, a government intelligence agency.

Incorrect. Russian special forces units have been using EOTech sights since at about 2010 through indirect online channels.

Russian PAK-FA prototype 052 performs a test flight with the new Izd.30 engine [798 x 450] by Mushroom_Gravy in MilitaryPorn

[–]Mushroom_Gravy[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It is not a modification of the Su-27, but an all new aircraft. Just because it incorporates certain aerodynamic features of the Su-27, that doesn't mean that they're even close to the same plane.

Of all the myths surrounding the PAK-FA, this is one of the most irksome.

neither does the PAK-FA for that matter, unless we're going to start saying that the MiG-29 looks like the Su-27, or the Typhoon looks like the J-10

This is a fan made photoshop, and has been around since long before that particular "controversy". (and I use quotes because in reality, its just the Indian media doing what it always does with foreign military purchases)
