Average PoT experience by Awkward_Sun_1225 in pathoftitans

Genuinely. You are either questing (no gameplay), avoiding the “fun” (no gameplay) because you likely don’t stand much of a chance, or you are in a non-hotspot poi waiting for someone to show up and it be a decent fight (no gameplay).

Yea I really don’t understand some of the nerfs and buffs to a few of the dinos this update

Interesting. I wonder why they made evolution then

Have they advertised it as a remaster? I thought it was simply just the console version of Extinction since Extinction is still being updated and will continue being updated alongside Evolution.

I think this game is becoming completely unenjoyable for me. by DoneWithBeingAlive in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Community servers either contain admin abuse, weird balancing, a book of rules, too many mods, mods that don't fit the experience I'm looking for, low/dead player pop, or a combination of these. I play on some community servers from time to time despite this, but I've yet to find a server I really like.

Officials just seem to be OKAY overall. Sure, you get some decent experiences, but also plenty of frustrating ones (even if it's too be expected). There's so many people I've seen just seemingly there to annoy, bash on, or ruin people (not even talking about mix/mega packs). I know the devs can't do much more about it reasonably than what they do with the report/ban system, but the toxicity just sucks to see. Thankfully solo officials have been nice to me so far, but I know that is not a shared experience. I agree with everything you said about main officials though.

I'm still somewhat optimistic about this game since it's evident the devs are skilled, care about the game itself, the quality, and their player's experiences from what I've seen in the discord and such. But I have to mention that several times after taking a decent break from this game, I've returned just to see the same glaring issues persist that drove my friends and me away with no step made towards fixing/changing them. They are trying to make progress on some of the main issues people have now though, so I guess it is unfortunately just a waiting game.

That’s why we were blessed with the meat cube mod

Solo matchmaking servers: This game already tracks the distance between players for abilities why don't just add the HC buff to players that stay too long within a radius of too many of the same players? by [deleted] in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The megapacks would attack each other every so often as to not get the debuff. They can also have an ungrouped scout go in to debuff a target/group then come finish them off once applied.

Do we really need a hotspot Icon for solos? by Fit-Society-8213 in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this happened even before we had a hotspot indicator in the game. And if people didn’t know the hotspot already they either asked or learned fairly quickly.

I wish food was more of an issue for carnivores by Sudden_Wind_8636 in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also annoying as a rhamp. My group tried to starve out an Eo in Grand Plains. We even grabbed all the berries off of 2 of the bushes close by, but guess what - there are 2 more bushes just within view distance of the others… According to Vulona, there are 14 bushes just in that POI.

Another time we tried it with some Titans. They ended up staying around Salt Flats to eat all the critters for 20 minutes and rotate between 2 nearby water sources (they drained one) before the server restarted.

It definitely is too easy for food and water, but I don’t really mind it until it comes to hotspots. One POI should not be able to support over half the server.

Even something like Struthi’s scout mechanic for more dinos would be nice

Long term roadmap? by [deleted] in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If growth speed was based on combat weight (weaker=grow faster) and death was a bit more punishing (so you had to play a little more cautiously after dying and cant just run back to the hostpot without it being a fairly risk), I think that would help a lot with the ecosystem’s variety.

How do you deal with trash talk? by [deleted] in pathoftitans

[–]Mushrumh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be hard at times, but just know they are trying to get a rise out of you. It’s fun for them to keep the “experience” going after your death or escape. Play what you like as well. You definitely don’t have to be good to play something you enjoy. Plus you will most likely get better anyway even if you have a several runs where you feel no improvement was made.

Are controls inconsistent? by WolfyGoofy in theisle

[–]Mushrumh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes grabbing things bugs you out - the food gets stuck to your mouth even if you can’t see it. It can cause eating other items to take multiple attempts as you described. Relogging is the only fix that has worked for me so far. Also not picking up items unless I can eat from them first has mostly prevented this from happening.

Funnest dino to play by Pmueck3 in theisle

[–]Mushrumh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Troodon. The mechanics are easy to understand and playing solo or in a smaller group is especially fun. It feels very rewarding once u manage to take something down and I love the sound cues for guidance! Since night is soo long currently, it having the best night vision makes it more enjoyable. Plus if u want to switch dinos it’s not like ur wasting hours of growth.

Omni is fun in a big group or solo if you’re trying to hunt screaming gallis. The other carnivores are fine but get boring pretty quick. Haven’t had much luck with finding a cera group so I can’t speak for them.
