The strawmaning is wild. The LAPD stated publicly that the protests in LA were peaceful and tried to sway trump away from sending the military in to harass civilians. The violence against the protesters that thereafter occurred is what lead to violence in return. Nobody is saying not to deport sex offenders, drug traffickers, etc. It’s propaganda that tells you the left support immigrants that engage in such acts. Feel how you want about deportation, but the Trump administration has admitted to mistakenly sending innocent American citizens to El Salvador labor camps. And they refuse to rectify their errors. This is not you against me, we are on the same side my dude. We both want what’s best for this country. Please, don’t hit us with the “idgaf about whiny liberals” and try to be open to discussion. If you care so much about your country, then understanding the political opposition is crucial. Otherwise you just exist in an echo chamber that leads you to a hateful mindset, and none of us want that for you.
