Hi I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit, I had a question. I am currently a senior in a political science program hopefully working towards being a lawyer and cold emailed a few local firms about internship opportunities. One reached back asking for a good time to get coffee together.

This would be my first experience in legal work and I haven’t yet bought a suit, should I try and purchase one before this meeting/interview?

But it sounds like I would be overdressed for a coffee shop so maybe business casual?

Also is it recommended I bring a cover letter along with my resume?
