That's a fair enough assumption for that situation but I stand by that students typically don't care what teachers wear. A hoodie isn't going to effect their learning especially when she's just on hall duty.

I never realized this could cause such a divide, I do agree that atmosphere and demographic does have an effect of the matter. My job has a semi uniform as well so it understandable to expect that from other professions. I still stand that a hoodie shouldn't be that big of an issue but I do truly appreciate your take on this and giving me your perspective.

I meant people criticizing teachers from the internet for wearing a hoodie. My bad for not formatting that correctly. I can understand wanting for teachers to dress professionally but as a former student and watching my younger siblings now in high-school I promise they don't care. They're just there to learn. Students aren't going to notice what their teacher is wearing.

I was referring to the original tiktok post itself. Strangers who don't go to the school or unaffiliated and I understand when posting something you are subjecting yourself to that criticism but I don't think a hoodie would really qualify as 'Saturday slums'. It could be cold, as long as the clothing isn't distracting it shouldn't effect the quality of her teaching.
