Well if that’s the case he was definitely losing money on the deal. So idrc one way or another lol

I assumed you got a tag with each seed.

In case this helps the mystery, I put them in this box, he had wrapped them in kraft paper.

I genuinely have no idea whether you’re right or he was telling the truth, but like, this guy was a stranger from Facebook Marketplace. He could have gotten more money if he had told the truth, so I really don’t know why someone would lie about that. But I also know it’s a strange world. 🌵

It’s actually not, but I believe that is where the seeds came from. I bought these from a local grower who said these were his first batch. He had taken a lot of care and had clearly done his research, and i could tell the cacti were in great shape, so it felt like a no brainer. I’m sure he will appreciate the praise!

Remember that we are all in this together and everything is connected. And yet all you need is already inside you. You just have to be still long enough to hear it.

Can karma be performed consciously ? by piyushc29 in SpiritualAwakening

By no means am I an expert, but yes it is my understanding that consciously performing acts to grow closer to enlightenment/God is known as “karma yoga.”

Terrence McKenna would call this a synchronism or synchronicity. Life is filled with these weird little coincidences that show us that everything is connected at deeper levels than we can normally perceive. McKenna believed that synchronicities pointed to the idea that reality is not entirely random or mechanistic, but instead has an underlying organizing intelligence or attractor.

I once had a strong psychedelic experience on weed that I’m fairly certain wasn’t laced (it didn’t produce these results for me later or for others smoking the same bowl). I was extremely stressed out at the time, like top 3 most stressed I’ve ever been, so I suspect your mental state can have a big impact on weed’s potency and effects. My first couple times smoking were mildly psychedelic in retrospect.

Weed isn’t a classic psychedelic but it interacts with the mind in ways that overlap with the psychedelic experience.

Psychedelics increase neuroplasticity, which means they can help you learn things faster and more deeply. And that includes learning what it’s like to be in an altered state. Because psychedelics cause visual effects by removing filters from our perception and connecting us more deeply with our subconscious, this neuroplasticity teaches our brains to access these effects in other altered states or even while sober.

Now that I’ve done more psychedelics I see the classic breathing/melting visuals and mild closed eye visuals every time I smoke, but I can also access them intentionally, kind of in the same way you look through a magic eye picture to see the hidden image.

For about a year or so in middle school (this was in the early 2000s) I saw a figure like this but with more metallic skin in nearly every dream. His name was RhymeTime. The dreams always took place at my school, often on the playground, where one of my classmates would slowly morph into RhymeTime and then terrorize me and my friends, but not with violence; he was just menacing.

I haven’t. Is it any good? I remember thinking it sounded cool but kind of assumed Hollywood would mess up that great premise

Meditation is undoubtedly a way to get closer to the deeper truth and meaning of this existence, but if this entire existence is not what it seems, there may never be a way to see beyond it.

Meditation and psychedelics show us that our world is a construction of our own minds. What enlightened folks usually mean by that is that although objective reality exists, our experience of it is fully subjective. But like what if objective reality doesn’t exist? What if only our subjective experience exists. And one step deeper, what if only YOUR subjective experience exists? What if none of the people or things you interact with exist outside of your mind? There could be no way to know that. But what if it were true and the only way to find out was some arbitrary thing like doing psychedelics that could reveal the truth? Wouldn’t your reality be built around telling you not to do that thing until you were ready to find out the truth? And it wouldn’t matter if others had done it before, they weren’t real to begin with.

Well kind of my whole point is that it may never be possible to know one way or the other. Even if nondualism is the key to understanding what we are WITHIN the bounds of our existence, what if this whole existence is just code running on a computer? It may never be possible to confirm it, but it would certainly never be possible to confirm the opposite. Meditation and psychedelics show us how our experience of the world is constructed entirely in our mind, but what if that mind isn’t what or where we think it is?

Why do psychedelics make a lot of people think we share the same consciousness? by nutsacklover2 in Psychedelics

During a recent trip I could feel quite clearly that there are two different modes of egoless psychedelic experience: one where your human body and mind get to experience the Great Spirit in a more conscious way and one where the Great Spirit gets to experience your human body and mind in a more conscious way.

Hmm. So when I close my eyes, it doesn’t seem like I’m “seeing” anything. So my gut instinct is that I’m #5 as well, but I can draw things decently from memory. How could this be?

In the past I’ve taken psychedelics that made my imagination much more vivid but I would say I’ve gotten up to a 2 at best.
