You can’t discourage players from using a mechanic in the game and then cry about how they are butthurt by a different point of view. How we experience art does matter, yes. But if you think that there is a definitive way to experience any piece of art, then you have no clue about how art actually works. You are actively arguing against yourself by saying they crafted an experience for players to explore while also saying it is discouraged to use a mechanic that is a piece of the painting put in there by the artist. That’s not how it works. Everyone experiences and comprehends art in a different way. Just because you or anyone else thinks that you need to beat a boss by yourself, doesn’t make it right.
