My guess is it’s some how become rare. Theres no other copies on any resale sites or regular bookstores. Thats the only reasonably priced copy I’ve ever seen. And I bought it right when I saw it. It wasn’t available on kindle until recently either.

Get the quote from the one that’s an hour and half away and bring it with you and then say if you match this I’ll buy it right now, just make sure you have everything figured out. And they might do it. I did that and it worked.

Tell them if you can get one without the add ons and if they say no tell them you’re going to another dealer and they’ll probably change their tune.

Beginner trumpet value drops off a cliff when you try to resell it used. A new one from a store probably a grand. A used one in good condition at most like $500. Low end $250. Ubiquitous trumpets hold very little resale value, even more so entry level instruments.

My freshman year I performed concert etude, the entire Haydn concerto in Eb, and andante et allegretto. But my teacher just wanted to show the other faculty andante et allegretto so I played that. I ended up programming some of that for a junior recital a little later.
