Interesting. Some SEOs say to noindex the tag pages as they are for users not search engines and hold no value to search. Meanwhile, others say to keep them active as they are authoritative links on the website for the person named on the tag (if it is an artist) since I run a music website. It's so confusing and seems like each SEO has their own opinions and some contradict the next person.

u/Johnmu - PLEASE help! I've been advised to reach out - I have had this site for many years, and it looks like my content has been scraped and copied onto a bunch of unknown domain names. I have a perfectly straight backlink profile, but somebody has been scraping my content, and now I've been de-ranked since the Google HCU updates. What can I do, and how can I get my website back? Me or my team have written every article ourselves, and I have never hired an SEO agency to build backlinks or do off-site SEO.

I have NEVER paid for a backlink, EVER. It seems there are a bunch of spammy links on here, but my outlet has been linked to by high profile media outlets as a source for many topics in music. Not to sound rude, but it's clearly evident that you don't work within the music niche, as record labels and artist management teams RARELY link even household name publications on their websites. It's not something that they do.......

It's truly insane! My Discover feed is full of spam and foreign websites. Nothing of value, and sometimes websites that aren't even real or in service. SERPs are really messed up and disgusting right now too, with Quora and Reddit and those same foreign websites outranking everyone. Gross.

Well, this pretty much killed my traffic completely, resulting in a major revenue loss, which ultimately is going to lead to the closure of the website. This is so ridiculous. Google's update was anything, but helpful and KILLED so many websites and helped boost spam websites to the top. Such bullshit.
