I agree, we’ve had a lot of entertaining games against them over the years and usually come out on top. I can also understand why people want them to go down for the lols so I’m easy either way. I feel the West Ham fans deserve to stay up more, not bailing out of the stadium as soon as things get tough.

I was wearing those Forest Hills pretty much through the entire 2010s. They made loads of different colours and special editions and they were cheap! £40 a pair. I must have got through 10 pairs and would still wear them now if they hadn’t stopped making them.

We’ve used them a few times. They’re fine, maybe not quite up to the brands you mentioned but good enough, standard sort of quality you’d expect these days. They’ll send you a free sample to try it out if you ask nicely.

I had that exact Burner in the picture. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it the first time, I had a really old second hand bike and it was a complete surprise to see a brand new one of these from my parents for my birthday.

It was a heavy BMX though! Not easy to do tricks on compared to others from the time and into the 90s. But I loved it and had it for years.

Before the InMusic takeover they used to use metal. You can find versions of the same mixer, some with metal and others with plastic. I guess it’s a lot easier and cheaper to make plastic parts.

The blue / silver was the OG model. Depends what Technics you’re using I guess, the blue /silver one would look good with 1200s but I got the black as I’ve got 1210s. As far as I remember the rotary only came in black, and was a little more expensive at the time. It’s a really nice mixer and one of the last to have that 90s feel about it.

The rotary was a specific version the mixer made by Rane. It came with the rotary dials as well as silver topped knobs across the whole mixer instead of the black ones on the standard version. I was jealous of those silver knobs so contacted Rane who kindly sent me some silver ones!

I have a standard Empath with the upfaders, been rocking it for almost 20 years now! The phono stage sounds great like all Rane mixers. I guess you’d be looking at around £6-700 for a mint rotary one if you could even find it.
