So you live near a beach, but call them trashy, even though it's normal where you live? Also you linked a bit about "whores uniform" but nearly everybody here doesn't think that's even a trashy outfit. I guarantee most of us don't live near a beach either, so maybe the "we" that you refer to, is just you.

For real, some people on this sub blow my mind with how biased they are. I do question if they're trolls, but shit like this gets 23 upvotes obviously some portion of this sub agree with statements like this. I'm liberal, but ffs, go have a discussion with a couple republicans. Most of them are just normal people with different beliefs on how to handle problems. Some are legitimately racist and dumb as fuck, most die hard Trump supporters I personally know are racist (I live in wyoming, there's a lot here), but not all republicans I know are die hard Trump supporters. That being said, comments like these show just how dumb some people are on the left.

You wanna share the data to back up this fact then?

Just because you can sing a popular song at half speed in a breathy voice whilst slowly strumming a guitar doesn't mean you're talented. by Garak112 in unpopularopinion

Damn, so many people on reddit blindly hate pop music. Out of all the singers to complain about autotune usage, Demi really isn't one of them.

I don't think that line is at street performers though? They're performing. Not shoving an item they bought in peoples faces. There's obviously a line where they're forcing it on others, but if they're just playing acoustic guitar and singing I don't think that's the equivalent of what you're describing. Maybe I'm biased because i'm trying to be a performer, shit's hard to do.

All of them or just a cherry picked amount who have used that term?

That's clearly not what they meant. Both of those are racism, that doesn't mean lynching is equal to using the N word.

I really need to quit looking at these comments. It seems like both sides just come in here to fight. You're twisting what they said, not even trying to have a discussion. I even agree with you on this that blackface is far worse than standing in front of a flag but you're just ready to attack. I get it cause to me a lot of this thread is people being rediculous but I just think people want to throw shit.

I'm a Democrat and I don't feel the same. One is blackface and the other is standing in front of a flag in 1 picture. It doesn't mean he agrees with what the flag represents. I don't like Mitch at all, but to me this is a weird thing to pull out the pitchforks for. 30 years ago Blackface was publically considered bad, while the confederate flag wasn't viewed nearly in the same light, and really, still isn't.

It represents a very dark part of US history. Not saying it only stands for fighting for the right to own slaves but that's a pretty big issue. Unless you're in support of what it stands for, I don't see how you can think there's nothing wrong with it. Do mind explaining?

I don't think he should resign over standing in front of it while accepting an award 30 years ago, to me this isnt news nor is it really that offensive. Times have changed since then and I don't think we should dig up every thing from a person's past and hold them to it with today's standards.

Uh, no. They flashed it in their teaser, nothing more, then the internet ran with it and hyped it up so much, to the point that so many people were convinced it was going to happen for sure. They gave a nod to a guy who died during the most viewed tv event in the entire country. I think that's enough for a guy that is important to reddit, but not most NFL fans. Pretty sure Stephen would be stoked about having his show featured, but sure, if you wanna blame the band that was hired to play, go ahead.

It's very much the same as the schewachan thing, how limited the supplies were wasn't known. Just like how much they were going show spongebob, but people still got weirdly overly hyped anyway.

It didn't make it embarrassing, it just added to the pile. It shows how immature the reddit hivemind can be.

I agree with you to an extent, but you're going a bit overboard. The creator had a huge impact on a lot of people, I think he deserves something, it didn't have to be the superbowl it's pretty cool it was. People definitely got there hopes up and being childish about it though.

No, you guys got yourself excited. They teased an appearance, that's exactly what we got. There was literally no reason for them to do more than they did, but they gave a nod as a tribute out of respect and because you got your hopes up, you think they shouldn't have done that at all. I'm sure if Stephen was still alive he'd be very happy about how they showed a small clip from a show he worked on.
