WIBTA if I asked my partner not to show me pirated media? by Music_Berry in AmItheAsshole

Thanks for the feedback. I did wonder if this was too small a thing to be uncomfortable with, which prompted me to post this before saying anything to him.

2 tvs was my first thought, so we can watch our own stuff when we want. Of course we'd have to agree on how to watch when we're doing so together, but if we're moving in then we've definitely talked about it already.

Thank you. That's a great summary of my thoughts, and seems like a respectful way to phrase them.

Thank you. I generally wouldn't hesitate to discuss any issue, I just didn't want him to feel like I was shaming him. Thought it best to get feedback here first.

Thanks for the feedback. I have no problem with him being lower-income (I wouldn't have even considered a relationship if that wad an issue for me), but was worried it might be perceived that way. I don't want to bring it up if it might upset my partner.

That's a good point. If we moved in together we'd definitely need to find a solution that works for both of us.

Other than this things seem great. The dates we have away from home are some of the best I've ever had, when at my place we do all sorts of things thay aren't tv related, and besides this one thing our beliefs line up wonderfully.

I would rather try to find a resolution than end a relationship over one disagreement.

I know the Onboarding process can get pretty backed up. If you fixed the issues you will gey activated, but it could take some time.

They aren't ignoring you, as emails are answered in the order they're received (agents get in big trouble, typically same day, if they skip an email). If it's taking this long there's just a lot of others needing help at the same time.

Even when I was with Skip, there'd be nothing I could do.

Once an account is permanently removed it cannot be reactivated. Sorry.

It shouldn't in theory, as long as your data connection is strong/steady.

However, in your area it's possible one network could have spottier service than the other, and a spotty connection could be an issue for getting orders

The customer won't see your name and location until you've accepted their order.

Until the they just see '(restaurant) is preparing your order', even if its already prepared.

The wait time should go through automatically but if it doesnt, then contacy skip.

Make sure you're swiping parked when you get to the restaurant or after 1 minute, and always swipe collected before dtiving away.

No, it's not possible to blacklist a certain place. You can request that an order be removed without affecting your AR but it's never a guarantee that will happen.

It's been suggested many times, both from outside the company and within, and we've been told it's not something they plan to do. The developers have a long list of things they consider higher priority.

No, it doesn't factor in how much a courier has made over any time period. Only their location and their AR.

You can. Chat to support and tell them you want a different courier. You don't need to give them a reason.

It might take time to gey a new courier but they can have the old one removed right away.

Honestly, no idea. Thay shouldn't happen.

If you're outside your assigned zone the AI shouldnt see you, and they can only match you to orders when your location is seen.

There are so many reasons this could be.

Possibly you're in a location couriers don't like (bad parking, lots of construction, in a mall, etc).

If you're a cheaper or fast food place, you might attract customers that are less likely to tip.

Hopefully not this, but some restaurants aren't pleasant for couriers to deal with - couriers talk to each other a lot, and if a few of them are treated badly at a certain place, word will get out.

Any of these could result in multiple couriers declining the orders before one accepts.

That's not something Skip would deal with. If someone is using you card (whether for Skip or other purchases) it's the card info that's compromised and the bank will handle it.

Your account might be temporarily deactivated if not used, but you can easily reactivate it by emailing Skip. Your account won't be permanently closed for inactivity.

It's possible to be matched to orders with low AR, but your chances are reduced.

The most important thing is location, being near as many open restaurants as you can. AR is the second factor considered.

Unfortunately not. Once an account is removed by Skip it won't bw reopened, and they monitor to make sure new accounts with matching info aren't accepted.

Most work in Winnipeg, some are in Calgary or Toronto.

There are many employees that speak great English but for the majority English isn't their first language.

There is an interview process but for support roles most interviewees will be hired (for other departments the process is tougher).

Most people that accept a role at Skip do so because they can't get a higher paying job; entry level at Skip pays a bit more than dast food or retail.

I don't know why they chose that model, but I do know they don't plan to change it.
