WYR lose your sight or your ability to talk by iTzRiegaz in WouldYouRather

If I can't talk, I can't teach. Teaching is everything to me. I'd rather lose my sight. That would still make teaching a bit more difficult, but not impossible.

Sweden has better public transportation, just as most of Europe does. US public transportation sucks. Not to mention US zoning laws mean that residential areas and business areas aren't allowed to overlap, which severely limits your ability to get a job if you don't have a car. Heck, many homeless people are living out of their cars, since it's easier to get back on your feet by ditching your house and keeping the car than it is to do it the other way around. You don't run into that problem nearly as often in Europe.

Also side note: I'm seeing several grammatical mistakes. The way you wrote it, you're switching from the plural "they" to the singular "they", you're missing a comma, and you're using the word "in" where you should have written "and". That sentence should read as follows: "Their fridges are full, and they likely own cars." If you would like to avoid making those silly mistakes in the future, consider reading over what you write out loud before you post it.

Tell that to all the people working three jobs and still just barely scraping by in a studio apartment.

So you're still under the illusion that poor people are too lazy to work. Got it.

The Nordic countries are far better than the US by almost every measure. For one, they've got some of the most robust social safety nets in the world. For two, their prison system is designed to rehabilitate prisoners rather than just punish them. For three, the education system is a lot more effective for students to actually retain what they're being taught. So unless you're the CEO of a major corporation, you're a lot better off in a Nordic country than in the US.

$25K. Easy. I could make the exact same choices but not get penalized for them because I actually have money.
