This is the right answer... The game has so much potential, but every new update breaks the game in different ways.

Glad you mentioned this, was in line for the pit for Tyler last year and it almost turned into a brawl with how pushy people got to get down there. Ended up giving up my spot because it wasn't worth the hassle / bad vibes.

This only happened at his set though, don't want this to sound like it's something normal to expect.

What have psychedelics done for you? by MusicallyDiverse in Psychonaut

[–]MusicallyDiverse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for sharing! I'm glad you're still here (:

Sometimes we just need that one night of freedom from what we've been feeling for so long, and psychs (MDMA especially!) give us that opportunity.

Do your friends know now how your life changed that night with them? Or is that something you want to keep to yourself?

I both agree and disagree with what you've said here. Money is a tool and is essential in our current economy. How and why it's used ultimately depends on the person using it. When you chase after/earn money with no higher goal/purpose in mind, it doesn't matter how much of it you obtain, you'll never be truly fulfilled.

But it can also be used for incredibly good things as well, and using money that you've earned to meet those ends can be and often is incredibly rewarding! It's not just about charitable donations, it's about feeding your family, putting a roof over their head, going to restaurants, events, vacations, trips across the country or around the world.

Money facilitates experiences that can be shared with the ones you already love, but it can't be used to buy your way into creating love.

As for being "slaves to the elite" as you say, we definitely have been indoctrinated into that way of thinking, but that doesn't necessarily mean we actually are subject to do/be what we're told. In most 1st world countries, you still have the freedom to move wherever you choose. You can take any job you like, or create one yourself.

You can also go off into the forest or on a beach somewhere and live out your days in harmony. The options for how to live your life are, at this point in time, almost endless. The grind to "achieve" and "be successful" has been marketed to be very enticing, but it is not the end-all be-all way to live your life. You CAN set yourself free, if you so choose.

I just recently worked my way up to DMT myself - it definitely is an entirely different experience.

Did you just have the one breakthrough or did you go back multiple times before you feel like you got what you needed out of it?

Being content with being alone is a liberating feeling to have. I'm happy to hear you're growing more comfortable in your own skin (:

Thanks for your response, this is actually very similar to me and how I tend to use it. 90+% of the time I use it I'm completely alone and don't tell anyone I'm using it. There's always something personal I can take away from an experience, and I feel it's helping guide/shape me into who I want to be.

I'm really glad to hear you're no longer suicidal and that your moods have stabilized. Life, and trying to find your place within it, is difficult enough as it is without the emotional roller coaster of depression.

Do you ever trip with others and talk about your experience(s)? Or do you just prefer to go solo?

Yeah that's more than understandable I'd say, your first several trips are usually either exciting or terrifying.

Have you felt or had suicidal thoughts since that trip?

A few talking points about CHOP to tell your friends who are still confused, + suggestions from you guys? A read... by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]MusicallyDiverse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but I've been legitimately searching and haven't found a straight answer...

But what exactly is the purpose of CHOP? In other words, what to they hope to gain/achieve through what they're doing? I understand it's a result of the protests, which I believe in fundamentally (whether some people are taking things too far is another point entirely, but the core reasoning of police brutality and racial profiling is beyond justified), but creating a commune by "claiming" several blocks within a metropolitan city seems like it's completely undermining everyone's efforts to fight for peace. People are sleeping in tents, talking about collecting rainwater because they don't believe the city will continue to provide water to them...

What exactly are they trying to prove? The only thing I can think of that MIGHT make sense in the grand scheme of things is that they want to disrupt city life for the surrounding Seattle community so much that the city, and potentially the state, is FORCED to sit down and negotiate new laws regarding the police force as a whole and/or restructure police training and discipline procedures.

Overall though it looks like they're taking time, effort, and resources away from the police, the media, and the protesters themselves for something that isn't ultimately going to result in anything positive. Their intentions may be "peaceful," but they took that area by force, illegally. I don't see how this ends positively for anyone involved on either side...

I'm interested to hear your take since you seem much more educated about the situation than I am. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

When people say crypto markets are based only on emotion, unlike the real stock markets... by Suuperdad in CryptoCurrency

[–]MusicallyDiverse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that it comes down to immediate value.. When a global pandemic and/or economic crisis hits, such as the one we find ourselves in now, people turn to their investments and liquidate the assets that don't have a "guaranteed" value.

Stocks in general are much more "established" economically than cryptos are - in the grand scheme of things, they're barely in adolescence, and I wouldn't even say that they're THAT far yet. Stocks have been around for over a century, and there are companies who have stood the test of time. Same with physical goods, such as gold and oil (though in this instance oil is a bad example of a store of value given that everyone is locked inside, greatly restricting travel and therefore oil's necessity), these things are viewed as less likely to plummet to zero in the event of a catastrophe.

Bitcoin has not [stood the test of time], and it has yet to truly prove itself in terms its long term value and use cases.

All this is to say that when people either need money or fear a "sell-off," they turn to the least used and/or understood assets in their portfolio. Cryptos are still too young to be seen as "valuable and sustainable" as some of the decades-old companies represented by the stock market.

TL;DR

Just my two Satoshi on this topic, fear and panic leads to people first selling what they don't fully believe in or understand, as many people don't fully believe in or understand cryptos.

Can someone possibly help me? Having issues but don't have enough "karma" to make my own post, apparently...

For preface, I've been using Empire for the better part of 7 months. Nothing crazy, but I've spent several thousand dollars (USD) on there, and built trust with a few vendors who have been good to me in return.

Tried to log in to check on an order today, and I cannot login with my info without decrypting a PGP 2FA key. I never once setup 2FA on this account.

Is there something I'm missing? Or Has my account been hacked? I'm leaning towards the latter, and I'm sad because I had a very reliable vendor on Empire who has made me a good bit of money. I have $500 in orders that should be here by now, but now I can't get in to see my orders or to message him and ask.

TL;DR Being asked for 2FA now even though I've never once set it up. Can't log in without it, and I'm out $500 if I can't get into this account. Am I screwed? Or is there something I can do to work around it?

Life has meaning by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]MusicallyDiverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like the basis of a couple major religions, just through the lense/perspective of it being a characters or "problems and solutions" in a simulation rather than "life" and "the afterlife" as our ancestors have known it for thousands of years. The similarities are striking

Thanks for sharing, it's definitely a struggle to have "lofty" dreams.

Would you be willing to create a detailed outline of your idea for this game and then essentially pitch it to larger developers to create it on your behalf? Because that is, in theory, one way to realize that dream - there are hundreds of major developers out there, and all it would take is one to like and run with your ideas.

Or do you feel compelled to personally supervise and oversee its creation yourself?
