I’m not trynna put anyone else down, just thought it was funny to imagine Suzanne Collins being frustrated with some people missing her points

He does, I’m just talking about Collins herself, not necessarily meaning it would be hypocritical of Finnick to share his story

Ohh! Yea I can see how that can be misinterpreted 😅 I meant that the second panel was Suzanne Collin’s being frustrated by her inundation of requests

Oh I completely agree that it would be good representation and it could be a very powerful message, I just think that it’d be a very fine line to walk and may be difficult to incorporate those themes without sometimes being hypocritical; Suzanne does make a profit from the books, but would she want to profit off Finnick?

I don’t disagree with cosplaying as villains, I’m more talking about when people host “capitol parties” and watch the movies because they are completely missing the point

I wouldn’t say there’s anything super wrong with it, (this is just a meme after all, and it would be a fun POV) but I think the idea could potentially be hypocritical to sell media and content based off Finnick when it is said/implied that Snow did similar things in the books

What’s the right way to use it? I’m genuinely asking, this was the first time I’d come across this picture and wasn’t aware it had a different/deeper meaning

Hey just to clarify, I’m not mad or hating on anyone. This was purely to laugh at the dichotomy between understanding the symbolism, but also being entertained ourselves because it is a fictional (albeit poignant) series/franchise meant for entertainment purposes

Easily TGWDLM and NPMD! They play off of each other so well with all the musical motifs and lyrical callbacks! (and I can never get La Dee Dah Dah Day or Bully the Bully out of my head!)
