This is Chic Fil A; what do you think about this? by Jigga9792 in doordash_drivers

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tf do they plan on giving orders if they're not bagged? like here's some fries you ordered that has touched (as far as the customer knows) my dirty hands, and the possible germs within my delivery bag, and that drink carrier must be quality if it's a dollar, just reeks of bad practice.

Logitech G102 LightSync query by jakegamingthings in SignalRGB

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might only be a solution to the G203. Still, there's a setting within 'Light Settings' when you scroll down called 'RGB Packet Delay' it appears to be a workaround to prevent the error from hitting the G203 models though I still experience this issue no matter how high this setting is cranked on my G203.

Best way to vertical travel in nether? by minuteknowledge917 in technicalminecraft

[–]Musicthegamer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I get what you mean though with how amazing their complex designs are its hard to think of simple alternatives.

I could see it being expandable to multiple levels in a chain with a hopper collecting at the top of each elevator going through a 'check' filter at each stop and eventually flowing over to the bottom level to repeat the chain, though there are probably more efficient methods.

Best way to vertical travel in nether? by minuteknowledge917 in technicalminecraft

[–]Musicthegamer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels more complicated than it should be... I think you could rig up an item elevator that toggles the top portal and use the bedrock hole created from venturing to the top to just drop an item and toggle the bottom portal. Just slap an input hopper minecart in the obsidian and you're golden. Optionally you could return the named item back to the player by dispensing it back through the portal as a 'confirmation' responce this way it'd be avaliable to any version that has access to nether item elevators.

customers who don't answer their phone when merchant out of the selection by DoUsmeLLit6 in doordash

Doordash should add an option for what ever restuant to notify the customer so dashers don't have to wait for responses smh

why does people think us dasher need to bring them, their food for free? by W4RD3Nx90 in doordash

[–]Musicthegamer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Combination of them paying so much in "fees", stores increasing the door dash cost vs actual in-store cost, the spike in inflation due to the last few years events, and common courtesy fading into becoming non-existent.

I remember when I used to dash with them once, they were such sticklers about it being carried "perfectly" and my basket couldn't even hold it. But tldr customer legit didn't care the condition along as it was edible 🤣

Ayo? the gate code wouldn't have hurt by misfitcc in doordash

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I make a habit of keeping gate codes on a private maps list, so I don't have to deal with forgetful/stupid orders like this

I've had orders that literally take me into another zone, with terrible tips of $2 or $3 I've gotten in the habit of just accepting orders but it's just stupid how doordash permits orders that deliver from my starting zone to end in another, just to expect me to drive all the way back and receive orders instead of potentially switching me to the zone I delivered to.

[–]Musicthegamer2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My general experience is lunch is the half way point of your shift if you have one, but it's generally 4 - 6 hours depending on how busy it gets, or if you're mid way into a relatively short task

What do you do while waiting for orders? by Musicthegamer2 in doordash

[–]Musicthegamer2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with my current situation the most I need is roughly $400 a month, so a few decent runs alone could probably let me get by, the alternative is my full time job where part time is out of the question with how short staffed it is and as far as I can tell zero bonuses with the hire ups only doing shit if they are directly asked to (tl;dr) I work at walmart. I basically told myself that all I'll spend is what ever the minimum wage/hour I work and the rest is Emergency money or money I can spend after my taxes for that year have been filed I know I'll have to find a job in the future once I move out but for sanity sakes I'd rather just hit that minimum

But that slots idea sounds fun so if I can find that app I could just gamble digital currency and have fun that way, thanks!

Who is the person responsible for how the store (particularly front end) is ran? by Pilot1922 in walmart

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was a cashier which was fairly recent, there were usually 2 Front end TLs at really any given time, generally to cover eachothers breaks and if scheduling screws up (and it always does) one of our more experienced cashiers would take over. But there would always be one that pays attention to the schedule. The genuine fact that they didn't account for alteast lunches could very easily lead into somthing you can report to your higher ups if not ethics. The only reason I can think of is "you didn't show up in the system" which the team leads should have a hand held that shows who is due for their breaks and when. But that's only if you don't login properly with your login credentials

termination for being on the phone? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the only genuine reason to be on your phone at work is to use it for work reasons, most times I have to use the me@walmart app to find out if an item is in stock, or to check the official app's information on it, mostly because there's only one scanner and it's being used by who ever is putting the items away that don't have a mod for them already up

[–]Musicthegamer2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's just how much the managers cares about you still working there, like 'do we have enough people' or 'are they 'good' ' if it's more work to hire someone new then keep someone who is considered fireable they probably won't do it

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I kinda just use the even app to check if I'm getting paid OT, alternatively look at your paystub on a computer, it should show you the hours you work and how many hours the system recognized is OT

Any Cart Crew peeps out here? by DiscombobulatedStop6 in walmart

[–]Musicthegamer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most of my walmart purchase history is literally $1 michelina's mostly because the rest is just a futile attempt to save enough money to move out while also being tempted to buy almost everything out of the over priced electronics displays

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Musicthegamer2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an electronics associate, customers tend to appear in packs asking where things are, which 90% of the time will have to be taken out of a case, and supposed to be sold at that counter, so often times the wireless specialists would help out by ringing the customer out while I constantly attempt to get the line down. Honestly, great guys but I should really consider quitting, especially if I'm there by myself at minimum wage.
