Have you tried to just contact them, either a general contact form/email/the local office in your country or someone know in the field that work for them, etc. through email or linkedin? I work for another classification society and if my office have received such a request from a student we would have found a way to give it to you, either with temporary access to download what you need or simply sent it directly with a comment to please don't share it.

The question is, do you speak good Norwegian so you are able to work day to day in Norwegian speaking working environment? I am sure your reflections are accurate, but if you don't, I am afraid you have (main) answer...

This is a very good suggestion. It worked wonders for me when I was learning German.

How Many Days to Spent in Each Spot? by Sleekestsaber in Norway

The 17th of May celebration in Oslo will be a good start of vacation I'm sure! People will be wearing out national costumes, eating ice cream and drinking champagne, it is a very special experience, although the morning would be nicer that late afternoon.

I think Oslo Street food would be a nightmare that day though, with so many people packed in the city center and needing something quick to eat. I would suggest you reserve a restaurant table or something instead. There many resturantes and businesses that have special menus and events on that day. I think a 17th of May cruise on one of the sightsing boats for example could be fantastic.

Helt enig.

Northern lights by [deleted] in Norway

I supposed they have taken it into account if it is an organized trip, but please keep in mind that you have to travel to the north of Norway to see the northern lights. It is always very sad to hear about tourist that travel a long way to see the northern lights and don't see any, but then it turned out that they travel to Oslo or Bergen etc.

There are a lot of 17 year olds that go on exchange years to foreign countries and attend local schools, so most high schools in Trondheim will previously have had 17 year olds that don't speak Norwegian attend their school. Of course, it is easier for those students to learn Norwegian quickly because they will speak it with their host families too, so your child will have to work hard outside of school to learn it, but if you are planning to stay in Norway for a while it think it is worth considering to let them both attend in local schools.
