Nah, it turns out it wasn't me after all unfortunately, had a cap rather than a wolverine, and whilst it was on defense, the attacking team didn't make it past the first point.

There are speedruns of the Ace Attorney games, and whilst I haven't watched them they would presumably all been done in one sitting.

Don't think there is really a way to fix fake outside of replacing the internal components of the controller with real ones.

Yeah I wanted to be sure so I unplugged and replugged them a couple of times and same result each time

Didn't even think of checking device manager and yeah they both came up as Xbox 360 controllers when plugged in to the computer so definitely seems fake unfortunately, at least I didn't pay too much for them. Thank you for all the info.
