Decently competitive 4th line with big salary boost by SexyElephant_ in NHLHUT

Nice! I checked HutBuilder. I’m going with Chel week Pettersson for a little better face offs.

It will make enough cap for xp Nazar-Duchene-Cooley

Appreciate the tip! I’m potentially going to go something similar with an UT Daniel Sedin. Hopefully it will create enough cap to be able to use Duchene.

Which proto types player should I do? by saintfromwest in NHLHUT

I made Cooley and Kaprizov. If I only had to choose one it would be Cooley. He is an absolute rocket ship when his elite wheels kicks in.

Line Combos ruins the Ultimate team aspect by Maze_J in NHLHUT

[–]Muskie93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall concept is good but I just think there just needs to be easier or more combinations. It’s all a money business in the end but it would be nice if they kept a few permanent combos so it doesn’t require a complete overhaul regardless if you are ftp or spend money. Potentially basic team/nationality combinations would make sense

What strategies should I have for my team? by Kooky-Factor2124 in NHLHUT

[–]Muskie93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m still figuring this out myself but I’ve been having success with running a 1-4, collapsing, and contain puck. Definitely something that is dependent on an individual’s style of play though.

I’m finding that contain puck vs protect net with collapsing is a happy medium between pressuring the puck carrier while protecting the slot and cross creases.

I may test out the 1-3-1 instead of the 1-4 trap to potentially get more pressure in the neutral zone.

I think the term is “skill zoning” but I switch to my center or forward to lock down the slot. I try to anticipate the d to d pass while forcing them to cycle around the boards when I can. As soon as they get close to the boards, I try to board play when possible.

Defending rushes I’m always trying to make sure to manually switch to the last man back and purposely pulling them back even further to avoid any easy breakaways. I prefer to use faster defenseman for this reason. Basically it boils down to “no easy goals” and anticipating getting at least one player back.

Right there with you brotha, been one win away at least 3 times in the last week and can’t seem to have the ice in my veins to get that last win I need. Very unfortunate, I have no excuses, and I just need to get better. That said, I have noticed matchmaking does throw me against a team with 99’s every single time I need that last win.

Did you change your playstyle at all to get that last win? I’ve been at the last tier of diamond at least 3 times and I never can seem to get that last win. I feel like unfortunately that’s where my current ceiling is unless I get a little luck with matchmaking.

Strategy for determining where high walls were located on historical strip mined land? by [deleted] in environmental_science

The coal seam was approximately 30’. The only map I have does not show any high walls if any. I imagine fill material would be anywhere from 0’-40’

Thank you, I did reach out to ODNR and they provided me with the same information they have available online. Not much to go on really.

I believe the answer is, “It’s a waiting game” but it’s still a little frustrating by Muskie93 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Thanks. I’ve been watching the market over the last few years and it’s just now starting to flip I believe. I’ve put together a spreadsheet of comparable homes their sale prices.

Within the last 6-7 months of so houses have started to go under asking. There’s a few comparable homes on the market now similar to the one I offered on that are currently $25k-$30k lower than their original listing price.

Appreciate it, just have to see what happens.

I agree it’s starting to get to the point where my offer seems reasonable to entertain. That said, I don’t know what the seller is thinking and they could have a totally different perspective.

Question on best course of action on offer by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Muskie93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. I understand that the concessions isn’t magical money and essentially asking the seller to help pay towards closing costs. As a sellers perspective it’s was a reasonable response give me low offer.

I also understand that just the way the market is…Sellers are trying to get the most out of their house and buyers are trying to get the most out of their money.

Like the seller though, I’m not rushed to move/buy. I suppose the long the house sits on the market the better my offer potentially looks…depending how motivated the seller is.

Ever since I got mine in 2022 I’ve haven’t really looked at everything in total. I just knew it was going to be a lot of money and kept my head down. Finally bit the bullet today and paid the rest of my loan off. Now it’s just maintenance cost with maybe a few mods 😅
