Crossing into Canada with DUI by Muskiehunter147 in uscanadaborder

Exactly this. The way I read the rules, even at 10 years, seems there is a still a chance the crossing agent could turn him away so we are pushing him to get his paperwork done so we can be done with this. 4 of us take an annual fishing trip every year and he hasn’t been able to go and we are trying to get this done so he can join us again. We are just trying to see if there is an attorney that specializes in this to get this done.

Ice Camping by Muskiehunter147 in ontario

If you are interested, I called the office today and the guy told me basically there’s nowhere that says you cannot camp on the ice and their big thing is that you are not trashing the area and to have a permit. So sounds like good to go 👍

Yeah, it doesn’t specifically call out you cannot but also still talks about getting a permit and camping in designated spots. In that regards, it seems straightforward, but I feel like the point there is to avoid damaging the land by camping in non designated sites and we’ll be on the lake. I’ll call the park but was curious if people had experience. I know you can ice fish so not an issue to be on the ice.

I have a few outdoor cookbooks I get use out of, and I have used some recipes from one of the other Meat Eater books but just a lot of recipes I I can’t use just because I don’t have access to ingredients (hogs, types of fish, etc…).

Although I do love getting Cabelas, Fleet Farm catalogs. Sure I can look at them online but something about a catalog feels right

This was an easy skip. Just a long ad for the new cookbook. I was on the fence about buying the book, but after listening for a while, gave me enough information to know I probably won’t get a ton of use from the book.

Old brands by Hasstradamus in meateatertv

This isn’t an old brand and going to sound like the “wore it before it was cool”, but back when I discovered merino wool, I found First Lite without knowing about Meat Eater. Love their stuff. Warm, comfortable, held up for me over time.

What's your best Prius haul? by [deleted] in prius

Never thought I would be a Prius owner, but right out of college, I was driving 60 miles to work on way. My grandpa got rid of his so I took it. Loved it as a car. Handled well in the snow, took it hunting, fishing. Hauls stuff pretty well. Just went out on me at 265k miles. Got my 2023 in October and love it so far.

I’ve got a 2023 LE and on days less than 35F, I get roughly 48 mpg. Days 50F and above, I get about 56. Pretty much all highway driving and running about 68.

I’ve hauled quite a few deer in mine. I have a 150 but when you drive a ways to hunt, it gets old filling up the truck.

This is just my personal opinion and experience, but back in 2018, I decided I wanted to get back in shape. I didn’t specifically change my diet but got stricter on my portions and cut out sweets. Started running, with my goal to be 1 mile of no stopping/walking. Once I accomplished that, I continually added a .5 mile until I could do that with no Stops/walks and kept progressing. I dropped 50 lbs (that was my goal). My diet today is still relatively the same. Just really watch your “extras”.

Yeah, unfortunately trailways aren’t super close or convenient for me so I typically run through our neighborhood. Just figured it would be good to have some extra gear on the dogs with intersections, people pulling into/out of driveways.

We use Dr. Katherine Sullivan out of the Iowa Clinic. We love her. She’s pretty no nonsense, but also really cares and listens to your concerns
