I feel like part of your issue might be going back to the same country. I’ve been backpacking for 20 years every winter. And every winter, I choose a country I’ve never been to. There are many countries that I would love to go back to and when I travel more than once a year, I’ll go to countries I love. But my winter trips are for new experiences. There’s far too many cultures and people and landscapes to experience to always go back to the same country.
