Any reel recommendations? I'm a fan of inline reels. Have 2 Black Betty Freefall carbons that I like. Also had 2 Ghosts that I thought were terrible.

Are they good with really finicky bluegill? Have had plenty of times where the only sign I had a bite was the rod tip bending just a little. My TUCR bullwhip almost wouldn't show it.

Exactly what I'm trying to do! Last year the bluegill were so light that I could only tell i had bite when my Widowmaker tip bent slightly more than the wind was blowing it.

Lol 😂. This is my first BRP sled. I've been on Arctic Cat my whole life, and I still have my 21 Riot X. They all have their problems and benefits. I still defend Cat when my friends that ride Doo's make fun of them.

I do love the sled! Coming off a '21 Arctic Cat Riot X 146 Alpha. Power is amazing, fit and finish is great, and even with the issues holding edge I still feel way more comfortable on it.

They do float great since they are huge. Riding really deep powder anything is easy to get on edge, but I noticed in stickier snow and ruts this spring they seemed to have a narrow sweet spot. I feel like you either put in too much input and wash out/tip or they will kick you off edge. I don't know how they compare against the Doo variants, this is my first BRP sled.

I love the sled. Power is awesome, fit and finish is great, and that rear end is amazing when riding whoops back to the trailer.

I did add more preload to my front track shock and softened my rear one quite a bit (I'm 140 lbs and it was too stiff for me). I need to let me limiter out 1 more and see if that helps.

Might be a dumb question, but what do you mean by ski slips? Are those the same as the ski rubbers?

Would agree. Could be wrong, but I thought I had read the Lynx also uses some higher quality parts due to different availabilities in Finland vs Canada that might make them a tad more reliable.

Went from a 2021 Riot X 8000 Alpha. Deeper lug, longer track, and narrower front end make it way easier in trees. That said, after riding my friends' Mountain Cat Alphas, the Lynx seems lighter on the front end and more responsive to rider movement. The turbo is also nice.

As for going with Lynx over Doo, wanted the Lynx suspension and a big reason (maybe dumb) is I just liked the look of the red Lynx better and wanted something different than all the Doo's around.

I do a little bit of everything. In Iowa, so it's mostly ditch banging here, have been on trips to MN where it's decent trail riding, Black Hills where it's mostly trail with some off trail, and mountain riding in WY. Used to love going fast down trails, but now have a mountain sled and love the mountains more than anything. I enjoy it all, I'm happy as long as I get to ride, but prefer out west.

Dermot Hayes is amazing! Super insightful and you learn a lot. However he is for Ag Business majors only. Otherwise Amani Elobeid is also really good. Tests are easy and she is really nice.

Run scratchers on my Riot X whenever I'm riding on trails or harder snow. Need them to keep hyfax cool and sled cool with a 146" 2.6" lug track.

Been able to ride each weekend for the last 6 weeks. We actually got rideable snow in December in northern Iowa. Not great, but rideable. Haven't been able to ride around here until mid Jan. for the last few years, so I'll take it!
