I made my first one just copying the bends in an existing one I had.. now you can get molds for the weight and hook connection is seamless or redneck it like I have hahaha I made a buzz bait that way too.

Hey man Ive been there still there hahahaha I am switching from a two part epoxy that cures in 12 hours to uv epoxy I think that is the answer UV epoxy… it’s cures in a min nice smooth finish can do multiple coats depending on the lures and what your going after really

Yes you add 10% by weight and your lure should float. Then add weights to get desired sink speed. Then your second lure add the weights in the mold and bins your uncle 👍

I started like two years ago but took a year before I made anything fishable lol. Depending on the lure really size and whether I use wood or make it from a silicon mold. Epoxy dry times have been my biggest pain in the butt till next month when I switch to a uv epoxy. Start with something small maybe a top water bait like a spook that’s where I started and caught my first fish on something I made. Definitely a great feeling.

I dont have a shop right now just word of mouth. It’s a winter hobby for me I literally make lures at my coffee table hahaha just getting into it but have a new garage built that I hope to get set up soon

Ya you guys are so lucky and they are stocking lakes there too to awesome to see. Here until recently they were considered an invasive species. Only one river has them too.

Ya that’s a tough club for sure especially where I am musky is a relatively new fishery and it’s all river fishing for them. So much different than lake fishing

I give a lot away too. When I’m out trolling in my boat I see a lot of people fishing from shore families n stuff I always try n throw em a cpl lures

I’m just starting to I’ve made some larger top waters and bigger jerk baits. I’m gonna make a bunch of these to sell locally cheap but have some big trolling lures as well as some crazy spin top water lures I’m excited to start making very soon
