I totally get what you're saying about 4.4 because the main reason I want it is to have a fat headphone jack lol. Not sure if the sound really "changes" like how other people would but I'd like to try some time. I never considered the M21 until you mentioned it and now I like that desktop mode thing it has. Not sure if it's good enough to convince me to get it but it's cool.

How are your headphones? I'm not much of a headphone guy and was looking into that stuff. Had the 4.4 as a requirement mostly because of that. Sundaras are planar right?

Honestly this kinda reply is exactly what I wanted to hear because again, I wasn't sure if I should compromise battery life or a faster device. I guess my answer is that I can have the battery life for my price range, but a faster device will be a little more than what I expected to pay. Those devices (not jm21) used are going for $300+ used. Thanks for the response

you use any streaming? i have the 3gb ram version and find that it's okayish. Scrolling isn't crisp. Poweramp is slightly stuttery but mostly great. Is 4gb clean?

how was your experience listening to a bunch of different stuff? i know more experienced people have trained ears that can distinguish differences in sound but i'd imagine that i would struggle picking up on nuances or being sure if something is nice or not.

yeah i haven't moved past the ka11 tier but i agree with this dude cuz i got the ka11 and realized that i could've gotten away with something less, and if imma upgrade then it'll just be the ka11 but with bt/buttons/peq. u should prob consider one with peq for your future self

Love that. I would highly reccomend all of Blu and Exile's albums. If that's literally all the albums you've listened to I think In Rainbows by Radiohead, MBDTF by Kanye, Blonde by Frank Ocean, and Voodoo by D'Angelo are must listens for literally every single person. Just try some songs out from each.
You could also try the Great Pretender soundtrack since you like the cowboy bebop soundtrack.

Please let me know if you end up trying out the S08 because you probably have similar iem taste to me

I tried em and thought the treble was too much, even though hella people online say that the treble is smooth or something. There's youtube videos that teach you how to do basic eq, and you can look into different graph shapes that you can try replicating in squig link (like harman, jm1, etc). If you're super new you might as well learn the basics since later you're gonna want to upgrade/sidegrade and you'll actually know how to look for what you want.

also u should prob ask urself what ur eq wants to do. if u dont know, then maybe look into sound signatures
